Beautiful work.
One question I do have, why don't people just go with what works? Since Steph pioneered his FWD setup and went 8.0 or 8.1 (what 4 years ago?), and now GM is going 7.4, why not just follow the crowd just to get the car count up?
I know it took a leap of faith to do what Steph did, now the V-drives are another leap, but... I would think to take the road already travelled to get a car out there.
This question is asked with no disrespect to Pat and Leevon (or Rado), but a question out of curiosity.
Thanks

Heres a leap of faith, Leevon and Pat's car will be the fastest import in its class.
and its looks far from being done because if I know pat he always post pics of the car 3 months ago..lol I am willing to bet those are not recent pics.
Pat you are going to wait a million years for the stuff from Crower!!
BTW pat, you notice my avatar? Look familar?

A leap of faith, I like that. Can that car get any more complicated? Are you getting ready for a trip to the moon? The way things are going there might not be a ProFWD class by the time you finally get that thing done. Hats off to whomever said why doesn't anyone just go with whats proven out there, (ie. Stephs, Saturn, GM, etc.) Sometimes I wonder if going drastically the other way with a bunch of unproven parts is just an excuse, because someone might not have the knowledge and thoroughness to get a good working car down the track quickly.
It wouldn't take forever and that much money to build something if you weren't waiting on parts and having to develop it all yourself. There are alot of good, already engineered and proven parts out there on those other cars.
Stick to the basics, Stick to the basics, Stick to the basics.

i dont think anyones comments come with disrespect.
i think in rados situation if its not fantabulous flamboyant and outrageous he doesnt want it. i think bling bling adds 100HP in anything rado drives. i honestly think hes the next sarawutari and devera (ie taking alot of good sponsors money and never completing the task they presented the sponsors) JMO.

There are no basics in Pro FWD. There are NOT alot of good already engineered parts out there for this type of car. The whole reason for the v-drive is to get a proven DRAG RACE transmission in a fwd car. Steph and everyone else has run the fortin, and bergenholtz is the only one to get it to work half way decent. Still doesn't mean it's the best route. GM uses a VERY expensive IRL XTRAC gearbox. There are many benefits to running a lenco transmission over a dogbox. There's nothing complicated about these cars unless you have no clue what you're talking about. This car could've been done a long time ago, it's all time and money. Pat, you know you're building it right, keep up the good work!

I guess your location says it all. Obviously you are not part of the PRO FWD community or even pay attention what is truly going on. This class is growing behind the scenes at an incredible rate. It only became it own class less than four years ago. If GM didn't step in then there wouldn't have been any goals to go after. PRO FWD is a pioneer's class and a true fan can appreciate that. You have to remember that what makes this class unique is the ability to build your car your way very comparible to IHRA/NHRA Pro Mod. Once all of the cars are out you will see an incredible field of diverse pieces of machinery. As far as the comment about Christian, you should keep those to yourself. Christian does more promoting for this sport and has as a much passion to succeed as any one else competing professionally. Everyone in PRO FWD is a class act it doesn't matter the size of their budgets they are there because they want to be. David vs Goliath is a great story.

Rado may not do things by every one else's book; but his book should have the same happy ending that others dream of.
