Default O-Ring Opinions..

So since no shops around where i live will o-ring any Honda blocks i decided to do it myself. Only problem i am having is there isn't enough room to fit two copper wires side by side in between the cylinders, so i ran the wire like the pics below, what do you guys think of doing it like this or should i try another way.

What tool did you use?

If you are going to do it like that at least try to get the ends to fit up against the part that crosses. It might work if done right. Guess you should have checked for interference before doing all the cylinders....

looks like it will still seal better regardless.

Hmmm Cut and file all the intersecting lines.

Patience is key.

i seriously doubt that makes any difference. the clamp is already tight all around the copper regardless. when that copper crushes it will spread out.

Most head gasket failure comes from where you have all the intersecting going on. Try to find away to get the ending points of the o-rings away from adjacent cylinders and make one complete circle with the wire. "If possible"

****, you MIGHT get 2 wires side by side in the middle. I doubt it.

What bore is that block?
And can the wire groove be cut closer to the ID of the bore to avoid overlap like this?

This is why I sent my block to Golden Eagle so they can do what they do with proper equipment.

Looks like the copper o-rings are too far away from the cylinder. There is a specification on where to put them and Im pretty sure they are closer to the edge of the wall than that.

i had my block o-ringed here at a local shop and thats exactly how they o-ringed mine.i had no idea they were going to do that but till it was to late..the block is 85mm so there isnt alot of room in between each cylender..i allready have been threw about 3 headgaskets in the past year and a half..recently i filed all conecting pieces were they intersected and used a g.e oem headgasket and torqued to 90ftlbs so far so good ..I will never go threw this again..

Who else has their 85mm blocks Oringed together like this where all the rings connect? Id be nervous that it would cause sealing issues like lvdb-2.

I'm sure that will be fine. There are no gaps, only junctions where it will not be two runs of copper. Just like 90% of the circumference. It's not like a headgasket that doesn't have two fire rings between the cylinders won't work.
