Event was good. Index classes had a decent turn out. 13.5 index had at least one full lane for qualifying. 12.5 class only had 6 cars, I was runner-up, A civic hatch won with a 12.7 and good lights, the driver was 58. 11.5 class was very full, James Innes was still in it when I left. 10.5 had about 10 cars and Marc P was still going rounds in it.
Pro Stock was on fire and someone ran a 9.03. I think it was either a Datsun or Jesus Padilla Jr. Maybe both.
True street was Eddie Bello all day with 9.2's. Chris Green was in his Daily driver for appearance points while he institutes a few changes to the stable. The Honda's in the class were hard up for a clean run but there were a few high 9's.
That's about all I can remember. I apologize for any mistakes.

Had a great time out there. Started out really rough for me with some shifting issues. Kind of sorted it out towards the end enough to make it to the 3rd round in 11.50 before getting taken out by another sandbagger running 11.51 to my 11.70, oh well. Really happy with the turnout for the class, we had a beyond full class with 19 cars! Congrats to James for coming down and getting the win. Glad to see you're figuring out the car more.

looks like they did away with motor street and the bracket classes down here. makes sense since it was only Marc and Loan in that class each time.

Re: NSCRA Southeast Regional Championship Series Round 1
What a weird weekend, with alot of cars having issues(mine included)
Yes NSCRA has cancelled motor street, putting me in the 10.50 class. Which is nice to race new cars and beat up on turbo cars!! But, there were a couple of issues I saw with the way classed were ran. The track was to lazy to do a ladder with all the index classes(running it like a bracket race) and before you say it's index, it's still nice to see who you are running and to see who gets the bye when there is a uneven # of car's in the class. Also, schedule was just dumb all day, 2.5 hours in between 1st and 2nd round and then 5min in between semi and finals.
As far as my car this weekend, I still have alot of issues to work out. I got a couple of ok passes with best being 10.80 @ 131. The short track is coming around slowly, but I am still driving the car like a pansy. Hitting the limiter in 1st and 2nd is killing me. Even with all those issues, I was still able to go round and ended up losing in the finals to a broken axle.
Thanks to Miller for coming down and helping out!

Congrats to James on another win!
Anyone have video of weekend?

I must agree with Marc! A Ladder would of been nice. Other than that, it was a fun event racing 13.5 in my stock daily driver, lol. Took home some money, so can't get any better than that!
Congrats to all the winners!!!!!

Re: NSCRA Southeast Regional Championship Series Round 1
the index classes seem to be working -- gives everyone a place to race without worrying about rules too much - the racer turnout was great in my opinion based on what i have been seeing and of course PBIR always brings out the spectators
and yes -- i vote for an actual ladder based on your qualifying position for the index classes -- and how about limiting the qualifying field to the top 16 as well?
and like Marc mentioned, the schedule for getting the various rounds in was all screwed up, i didn't like getting out of there at 7:30 pm at all
but overall a good event, i will be back for more

The event had a great turn out, I was surprise to see so many new cars in the index classes I guess a lot racers like it.The Extreme/Modified field was just sick the number 1 qualifier ran 7.15 and closing the field with a 7.72 and true street was as good as always.

Re: NSCRA Southeast Regional Championship Series Round 1
The index classes were the best thing they ever did, definitely gonna need to do a ladder next time around though. Maybe bump some of the cars up a class if they break out so bad, saw cars in each of the classes break out of the index by at least a second.
Overall though really good event, glad to see NSCRA back for another year...hope the next event's even better.
I'm editing my 800 pics from the weekend and will post soon.

Re: NSCRA Southeast Regional Championship Series Round 1
Staff did a great job imho. Not may cars broke, but when they did, track was cleaned up quickly. At least while I was there.
I agree with the ladder setup.I was expecting it until I got in line.
Did loan run? I saw the cars in the pits but never saw it move.
Only thing I'd like to see is swap meet if they have the room for it. I've seen them work real well for the domestic races at pbir.
