Well I agree with your points and the unfamilarity with Hondas scares some people, its the UNKNOWN that always scares people.

The SRT-4 is legal for NHRA Stock already, I have to return back to the stock turbo.

So I doubt theirs enough push in the SRT-4 community to get Mopar Factory Upgrades to push the car into Super Stock (Stage 1 and Stage 2 are legal for Stock its only electronics), where I can run 10's down with the rest of the cars in that class, so I don't see what the problem is other than I get better mileage...

You already have the ideal car if you want to start with an early single cam D motored car.

I think a '99-'00 Si would be fairly competitive, you can't go crazy with engine mods but some cams are legal I would think and basic bolt-ons are legal like cold air intakes, header and with Honda OEM parts and a little machine work, mid 13's would be cake with an Coupe.

If NHRA wants to really intergrate compacts into Lucas they have a basis from SC to work from, it would just take the off season to get it all worked out.

I'd love a job with NHRA to sort this out..lol
