lol 13.7 @ 120mph and 15.9 @ 63 mph
well i took the car to the track for the first time and i never really wanted to, i was happy with ripping on the streets and that was that.
went to the track and came back home kinda sad, the car was running great for 7 months maybe
crx
b16
rod/piston
sc61 .63 .60
15psi
All 60" were 2.4 i was being nice on the clutch
i ran a
15.1 @ 110
14.1 @ 112
13.6 @ 120
then the sad one 15.9 @ 62
the wastegate vac line got rubbed by the cam gears and i must have hit like 25+ psi on the turbo for the sleeve to crack, still not sure but im thinking that was it (wont start but turns over fine)
o well, either a sleeved block going in or im selling it all and changing over to a rwd honda powered crx. just thought id share, later

Re: (alloutmotor)
had a gauge but when im racing i dont look at it much, never thought that line would get cut, ill have to pay attention on the new setup
no traction, if floored at all in even 2nd or 3rd and sometimes 4th it would spin/rip loose
avs es 100's they are some slightly cheap yoks
it was fun but ya im looking to do a sleeve to the extra b16 block i have or maybe find a b18c one and do the 83mm bore, either block ill do that to just have the b16's laying around and i dont know if spending the extra funds on a b18c bottom is worth the extra tq and power

Re: (Bob-DC2)
you guys want to see what happened to my engine on that last run hehe
the other three pistons had metal sitting on top of them and it banged up the pistons and got smashed/melted? into the head. those two pics are the #3 piston and head. i guess metal got shot into the intake and then went into the other 3 cylinder. so most of the head looks like that. Do you think i can get that head fixed? or just buy a new one... anyways there goes a few grand and a good car that ran almost 2 years all because a 10 cent zip tie wasnt in the right spot. oops this will never happen again and i hope you slackers learn from this, i know i did.

Re: (toyosupr)
WOW
you can see on the pistons that it detonated very hard (intake side of the pistons) but I wonder if it had a block gaurd if it would have just took the pistons out and not hurt the block..
anyways..good luck and have fun..
BTW..it looks like the head is still useable..just needs a little chamber work and a good valve job and it should be fine.

Re: (SiR831)
ya i think the metal from the #3 cyl shot into the intake and then into all the cylinders. im not sure how high the piston goes but it looked like the piston smashed the metal peices into the head
if the head can be fixed that would be awsome but it looks bad.
