kseries cam choice
I'm trying to figure out what cams to go with for my setup. Been looking around for a while and doing a bunch of research but there doesnt seem to be a lot of cam results for the kseries that I can find. I know IPS cams seem to work well from what i've heard but I wan't to keep my options open.
I have been looking at the skunk2 stg 3 all motor cams. would those be a good cam for my setup or to aggressive of a cam for it?
my setup
k20 sleeved
k20 ported head full supertech valvetrain
cp 9.0 pistons
manley turbo tuffs
precision billet t4 6768 bb
goal I want to make is 750+
discuss and post any kseries turbo cam results/numbers if you have any

If you are going to try a few different things out, my first suggestion would be to stick with the cast core cams until you have a better idea what cam you want. That will save you some money while you are testing, and you can run up to .600 lift on that cast core. Once you get something setup, you can have it cut on a billet core.

Jeff @ Go-power has spent alot of hrs doing cam testing. From what I've seen he has some awsome profiles. I'd hit him up

Re: kseries cam choice
I would definitely run the Skunk2 II All Motor cams, I've had great success with making power with them. 701 HP and 500 TQ on 25 psi. I don't have back to back testing yet on them compared with anything else. But, so far I'm very happy with them and the guy's a Skunk2 are
However, Jeff @ Go Power is a real stand up guy too. But I
have yet to try his stuff out.

I can only speak from an All Motor perspective, but definitely give Jeff at Go Power a call. He'll undoubtedly have something for you.

IPS KT2's!!!! FTW
If some one has put years of R&D for Turbo cams, IPS has been the one!
When it comes to quality, you get what you pay for.

I'm not going to run stock cams. I know they make big power but I would like to have it on less boost. I'm trying to push this turbo to about all it has so a nice set of cams is where it needs to be.
Ips turned me the wrong way I guess. One of their Main dealers can't even get their cams and they are way overpriced. Found that out on their intake manifolds
any more opinions guys?

How about BluePrint? They have them in stock and they are priced well. I haven't used them in a turbo car, but for all motor I've had great results on street cars with their Stage 2 and Stage 3.

S2 stg3 is what I keep looking at but not sure if they are to aggressive. It's a k20 so I will be taking it higher rpms.
I'm going to call go-power and talk to them but say I went with skunk2 are the stg 2's enough or will the stg 3's make better power up top. My turbo should spool very fast so not too worried about the powerband down low

Even though you dont want to run OEM cams, I will add that we've gone 9.50's on OEM ITR cams, making over 900hp.. Its hard to beat the reliability of OEM cams. Granted, you'll probably get quicker spool and more power on less boost, but there will be a tradeoff..
