Fixed that for you.
Looks like this K24 Swap is being sold off to go into another MR2 Spyder locally that will run NASA TT. This means we can proceed with a kinda serious engine for my MR2. I wonder how realistic a 10.99 all motor would be on a drag radial.

Re: K24 MR2 Spyder on a Drag Radial - 12.4@109
Thanks babe
225 radials fit with no issues as long as the height is fine.
24.5 x 8.5 x 13 fits easily on an IPG Lenso 13 inch wheel.
I am going to try a 245/55/15 fatty radial when it's all said and done and make it fit one way or another.

These cars are pretty damn light. They are usually around 2300-2400. Some of the track guys have had theirs down close to the 2000 range with the same basic weight reduction mods that we Honda guys are accustomed to.

My next project will definetly be a k24 but the chassis is where I'm still undecided.
How's the mr2 compared to Miata.
How's the aftermarket support?
So many choices for all motor road racing/drag/weekend warrior
Miata
Eg
Mr2
S2k
Keep up the good work

Miata is a great choice. Proven chassis and tons of aftermarket support. There are recipes galore to get that car setup. The Kswap for it is a reality now thanks to Kmiata.com, the only downside is the cost. It's not cheap by any means and the parts are only from one source. The cost has driven a few away from going this route, but in due time with development it'll be an absolute monster. Expect to see some big track competitors running K engines in their Miata's for 2015.....they are going to tear it up.
EG, well.......simple, easy, cheap and parts are near infinite. But if you have any desire to step out of what you're used to and get into a non-fwd car, your other choices are more appealing. EG is a great car to get into tracking with though and i'm sure you're familiar with the drag racing potential. Traction is fun though, wheel spin is not.
MR2, the Kswap is a drop in(Aw11 and zzw30). So there are no plates, flywheels, adapters and etc. Its a mount kit and shifter mechanism and you're pretty much swapping a K into that chassis like you would be in an EG. Minor wiring and basic fab and you're ready to rip. The consumables(brakes, tires, susp, etc) are ver low in cost...close to that of a civic if anthing. I love my little MR2. I'm glad I went this route. Getting into it and trying hard to push the chassis it sometimes feels like you're trying to reinvent the wheel. The community has been so closed off from development that they have been scared to venture out and try new things. Only a few have went beyond the norm of different spring rates, tuning methods, aerodynamics, and hell...even engine swaps or modifications. In due time now that the the chassis' are more cheap will you find a whole bunch of rowdiness. I myself plan on pushing this car as far as I am capable of taking it. I'm shooting for 10's on a radial all motor, full streetability and aggressive track manners. It's a bold move Cotton, let's see if it pays off.
S2K, fantastic car and much more expensive to build up. Near infinite as far as modifications go but even doing a K in one isn't a simple and cheap deal. Plates, flywheels, mounts, harness, manifolds and etc. etc. Plus if you get rowdy down the line the transmission will hate you.
Either way, good luck with your choice and i'll keep everyone posted on how this one goes.

Odd as it sounds, that's been the plan since the get go. The kinda serious engine doesn't have a whole lot of compression as I've planned it for spray from the buildup. I'm expecting over 500whp on the shot. We're going to spray the house down.
There's also a K24 Spyder down south that is going to start his engine build soon. Just a simple 280-300whp pump gas engine that will also have a shot on it. 2015 should be interesting.

Thanks for your reply.
Very informative
If only the mr2 spider chassis was less expensive
They're pretty pricey here
Unless I find a shell

It's too sunny and nice where you are. If you are willing to travel you can use SearchTempest.com and look for listings. I believe there's one with a blown engine in Kentucky for 2500 right now. I paid well under 3k for each of my Spyders. Someone just let go of theirs with a blown engine in NC for 1300, it was white too....i wanted it so bad but couldn't get transport setup in time.
If you just keep an eye out they're cheap and common to have pre-cat failures that destroy the engine.

Re: K24 MR2 Spyder on a Drag Radial - 12.4@109
I had to deal with transmission stuff before when I was dragging my K-EG back in the day, it was a nightmare.( https://honda-tech.com/all-motor-nat...-head-2389482/ )But so much has improved since then and I will be using the car more for Time Attack than anything else. So as long as I can make it past 2nd gear i'll hope for the best. If money allows I plan on sending the rest of the gear stack out for treatment.
As for the nitrous combo's I've been toying a lot on the dyno recently and found a **** ton of power by playing with jet placement, intake manifold effectiveness, jets, mixtures, methods, bottle pressures, tuning methods, gasses...etc.etc.
Here is an example of a 87x99 12.5 simple 300whp setup on a single fogger 75 shot wet. We found about 25 or so whp by tweaking the combo around(while keeping the shot the same).
The combo going into this Spyder will be a lot more fierce than this example. Both engine and shot wise.
