we have been running k series turbo motors for 5 years, never broke a trans case and we make about 80 passes a year. saying k series has a weak case isn't true at all.

You also run PPG sets with an upper cuff to help prevent shaft seperation loads from cracking the case right at it's weakest point where the ribs and case itself are very thin just outside the upper mainshaft bearing area.
Just my $0.02

Based on the number of K series trans cases that I've seen and heard of being cracked/broken with various different brands of gearsets out there I disagree. Maybe I should say "weaker than B series cases".

To verify for future purchase of dog turbo k gears. The albins gear set does not come with a upper cuff like a ppg setup?

The Albins set has optional upper and lower cuffs. You can run no cuffs, just the lower, just the upper, or both.
The Albins K dogsets are not currently available for purchase as another production run has not been made. We only had 2 of the turbo ratio sets made in the intial run of them, and neither has been tested yet to my knowledge. I want to test the turbo ratio set with both cuffs first as well.
So, we are testing that set in this car.
