Doug Kalitta used to run LA Sleeves and could never catch Schumacher. This season all three of the Team Kalitta cars use Darton Sleeves and now Doug Kalitta is in first place over Schumacher which also uses Darton Sleeves.
The two that dont in the list on near the bottom of the 15.

Re: Interesting Facts about a Top Fuel dragster (1point5CRX)
I have been around fuel cars and fuel boats My whole life .Except the last 4 years. My dad race Dragsters when I was born. And my girlfriend's dad was killed in a fuel car at Pomona .Racing Don Prudomme.I was crew chief on a top fuel hydro called TOP GUN for 8 years. And have work on Fuel funnies and fuel cars also.
But the most exciting thing to me is standing at the lights when they come by at over 300 mph.I don't care how many times you do it ,It still scares the **** out of you.
Another quick fact-A fuel car ,In the first 60' its going over 120mph and in .75 of 1 sec. That's 0 to 120 in less than a sec.And that's 4 1/2 g.s off the line and 1g at the lights. Then 7 to 8 neg. g.s when the chute comes out.
If it pulls more than 41/2 right off the line ,It will bust the tires lose.About 100' feet out.

Re: Interesting Facts about a Top Fuel dragster (Trooper)
Some of those stats are really cool, but whoever did the calculations on G's needs to freshen up on their physics.
There is about 12" of rollout before the cars break the beams. Using this and averaging speed over the last 66', a 4.50 run at 333mph averages 3.3g's acceleration.
Also using the 12" rollout, 4g's cuts a 0.833 60' time. I think this is in line with what they are running. I suspect they would peak closer to 4.5g's though because it is not constant/perfect traction.
All these real numbers are impressive nonetheless.

Re: Interesting Facts about a Top Fuel dragster (accordking)
Ive had hearing problems ever since my first Top Fuel experience. I made the mistake of standing too close when they fired one up. But ill never give that experience back.
