Default Im new here (Non Honda shocker)

Hi guys
This is a great site and read it so much as we are lacking any really good sites over here in th UK
I have learnt alot from some of you guys and dont want to just be another guest around here..... anyway onto my car

Started life as a 1.6 8v gsi and did a 15.9 quarter mile pb from previous keeper then I got my hands on it

Then had 2.0 16v fitted and my personal best was 14.4

Then I got the bug and wanted faster so opted for some gas to start with, pb went down to a 13.01 with 100 bhp worth of gas and that was as good as i could get no matter how hard i tried on 2.0 60ft

Stayed like this for a while untill a C20LET came up for reasonable money, Good old ebay..... it lasted around 31 miles I was not a happy bunny after spending thousands!

The engine was rebuilt back to standard spec again with all new oe parts and it made it to Santa pod this time.... with the gas and managed an 11.9 @ 125.4 mph... i will never forget that day in all my life it was the first time i had been to pod with the let fitted and to say a was chuffed well....... doesnt cut it
This was on road tires Toyo R888 and now I have some M+T 24.5x8 to try out cannot wait.... spec now is

Vauxhall Nova fitted with 2.0 16v C20LET engine with

Pace products dry sump kit
Sainz rods
Wiseco custom comp pistons 8.4:1
rebored block with oil sprays
1.9 mm cometic head gasket
8 v baffle tray
everything ARP'd
G+A built head
Custom grind Piper cams
Nortech Exhaust manifold on twin Tial 44mm gates
GT3071R internal gate/GT4088
RMR SBD inlet
75mm pipework
Helix paddle clutch on lightened xe flat flywheel
Pace front mount intercooler
Emerald M3DK management
1200 cc injectors
Gaz coilovers
15" compomotive Mo alloys
R888s/bf goodrich drag radials
F28 6 speed gearbox
Equal shafts
all race bushed
mocal oil cooler
all Aeroquip
200 bhp direct port nitrous (Wizzards of Noz)
Maximiser nitrous controller

All pictures will show the GT30 which I never ran with and my new manifold will start being made for the GT40 next week as turbo should arrive today.

And im sure loads more ive missed but it is getting late i will edit as and when, Thats got you all bored now and up to date with me. before you start i know my English is *****! Help

Sorry if in wrong section but I am limited to where I can post, hope its ok here.

Car has changed alot over last 5 years this is when i first got it

This is such a cool car!

Are you going to keep the 200 shot with the 4088?

Havn't heard of "Emerald M3DK management"before..

Will the trans and axles hold this kind of power?

Who makes Vauxhall. is it a GM product?

Thanks for all nice replys

Yes am keeping the gas with new turbo hope to only need it in 4th - 5th now and maybe for spool but i dont know how laggy this turbo is going to be.

Emerald is a good ecu I actually have the newer K3 setup now have a read....
http://www.emeraldm3d.com/em_k3.html

The F28 getrag 6 speed boxes are bombproof but time will tell I run big MAN shafts to which are unbreakable so they say but no one makes uprated cv joints so they tend to go first, @ £16 each id rather they broke anyways and I have only broken 2 in 5 years

Yes Vauxhall is GM but when I have had enough of this want to build a Civic

It's an English system developed by a guy named Dave Walker-- famous tuner in England.

125 mph on just a shot is moving right long, how much does the car weigh?

You will see a huge differance with the slicks, both in your times and how
smooth the car runs.

Very clean work sir. But i am at a crossroads with your exhaust coming out the side of your car. Why not just open DP underneath?

Default New update

Update

Car is now home after 2 months! and more at the level I wanted it to be at. Thanks to James @ Nortech for making the manifold for me I just wish it had not taken so long as its been hold up after hold up on this entire build but the spec has gone silly too, so its partly my own fault. Not sure if James took me to seriously about the up-pipe and left me to cut the holes in the panels LOL

It is now fitted with Garrett GT4088 twin scroll turbo and 2 Tial 44mm external wastegates, manifold also has take offs for EGT monitoring on every cylinder and has 2 different styles of downpipe so to speak!

Very pleased with my manifold even though it took a long time to come together. All constructive comments welcomed as always but do not ask silly questions as to why I have done this/that its because I want to but if you see a problem im all ears. This turbo is of course going to break things along the way but no one over here (UK) can be arsed to push the boundries and spend more than a fiver lmao There are things I have overlooked to because I am not made of money but im sure the weak link will be found soon enough!

This car will still remain road legal as much as possible and does have a normal style downpipe and silencer for road use, some new traction bars are going to be made to eliminate torque steer as much as possible as most of it comes from bush flex in Novas/Corsa etc and I have broken a standard tie bar with 400 ish bhp before.

I now have some fibreglass front widened wings to use with the wider rim and tyre setup which gives the car a more street look if nothing else.

Next thing to sort out is radiator placement and get one made up, source the materials to make 2 sets of screamer pipes, one out of bonnet for some fun runs at the pod and some back into the system for road use as I cannot see mapping whilst listening being all that great with them open under the car!

Injector driver should be here any day now and once that is here the loom will be finished. All of the fuel system needs to be redone now as it was spec'd for a GT30 and fairly small fuel rail, new fuel rail which can accept up to -10 JIC fittings is being fitted to my inlet this week and I will need bigger return lines, regulator, swirl pot and another pump ideally so I can run end feeds and centre return at the rail.
Inlet should be back with me by the end of the week and I hope this is not another 2 month wait.

Its gone abit mad I know but I do not have much outgoings a month and I work hard 6 days a week so it will get there soon enough.

As most of you know my main aim for the car is a 10 second pass be it on treads or not it will happen, I will not give up, still a long way to go but over Christmas should see a fair bit getting done.

Hope you all like it.
YO to the haters !
