..... meanwhile, Honda executives are still toasting one another at banquets for closing the books on the most successful year any asian car manufacturer has *ever* had.

I hate the 3000 lb crap they've been churning out the last few years (except for the s2k), but obviously they've hit their target demographic squarely in the bullseye.

I use to race Hondas but i've stepped up to ecotec power now. I still love the honda's but i love my cobalt i jus t need to get the turdblow already. I need to find someperson to tune it also, i think im going aem like the gm dragster they built.

Hmmm...i wouldnt mind at all switching to a cobalt. So many options these days that honda isnt the only "in" thing anymore (i.e. SRT4, evo's, sti's) besides....you'd have less chance of your cobalt getting stolen then your civic you know what i mean.

I do agree with you on most of what you said. When the last SI came out 2000, that was the last shot at catering to our market.
Sure they have the NEW Si with the reworked Geo metro looking body and the whole thing just looks off.

I remember reading that the new Civic was geared towards the girls. What does that say about HONDA.

(Dont get me wrong I LOVE HONDAS but until they bring out something that I like and that is going to make me want to buy it Ill stick to the ones that I have now.)

From a dragrace perspective I dont think that the new platform is able to do what we want it to(anyone remember the wheelbase issues with the CRX?).

Wherever you find a track, you will most likely find some type of honda.

The market has opened up, what we always wanted, but now people say that its not honda anymore.

It is what we asked for...

Racing is apart of all us racers and older schoolers, but when it comes down to it, it doesnt what make or model your cars is. Its the thrill of the race. And you got to think lisa and gary do it for a living. Every one has priorities to take care of. When it comes down to it. GM etc have more $$$$ in thier racing and promotional budget. Honda will never step to the plate and support us racers in the way we all have supported them. So what I have to say is do whats you like to do.. dont hate one racers that go to american companys the still have bills to pay like all of us. Its like you not taking a promotion at work with better benefits and higher pay for the same work thats you do. Are you going to say no. I dont think so.

Lisa Kubo
Gary Gardella
And the Whole Import and Domestic Racing Industry!

If it wasnt for Domestic Drag Racing Wouldnt be were we are today! For that they will always have a in my book
