91 mph
2nd pass
1.922 60ft

Sucks to miss a gear on what should have been my fastest pass going to 1/4th track next weekend hope for a low 12 second pass

Whats your setup? Do you have pics of the wheel/tire? I have a set of 14" bbs wheels i need a good tire for.

stock steele wheels
i had to get them hot i mean hot, 3rd gear burn out the car would feel up with smoke.
cant wait for the 1/4th i only rev the car to 8k so i was running out of gear in 3rd and figured going in to 4th would kill my times. i would cross the line in the rev limiter
setup is a f2b eg hatch
16 psi holset hx35/40
using f22a non vtec on ls tranny w/ quaife lsd
h22 eagle rods and 8:1 wiseco pistons

making very similar numbers on my built 2.0L LS engine... just got back from the track last night on 23x7.5" slicks and was consistent 7.68 @ 95 w/ 1.80 60ft. Still learning the car... Need a bit more seat time. Would like to see 7.5x on the current setup.

How high are you revving? I ran into issues with gearing with my gsr trans only trapping 118 on the rev limiter of 8k. I also had 215-60-14's pulling low 1.8's with similar times. When I switched to the taller tire in picked up BIG time!

Re: got a 1.8 60ft on nitto 555r drag radials
I have done the gear calculator and they aren't quite right from my experience. The 215-60-14's are a little more than 24" tall. I would finish the 1/4 on the 4th gear limiter and would change from 3rd to 4th just before or as I passed the 1/8th. Typically my car runs mid high 7's @ 94-96 mph in the 1/8th and 11.8-12.0 @ 116-118 on the limiter around 1200'.
I think the calculators don't account for the drop in tire pressure which reduces the overall tire height and this is what differences is have experienced. I have recently switched to a 225-50-15 and they aren't much shorter but I can see a difference by hitting the limiter around the 1k'.

I hear ya'. I blew the diff in my GSR and have had my spare LS in and hate it also. Trying to build the trans to take the abuse I will be throwing at it while it is apart but finding parts in my price range is proving to be difficult.

Re: got a 1.8 60ft on nitto 555r drag radials
is the gear calculator off or im spinning 3rd. I know for a fact that i am in rev limiter when i cross the line. I bumped the limiter up to 8200 and still trapped the same mph and time. gear calculator says i should trap 100@8k my datalog says i am at 100mph also.

That is interesting. 200rpm might not make that much difference or you are hitting the limiter before the finish line.
