Default Fuel Tank Sump SPFWD

I was wondering what you Sport FWD guys use for fuel setups. I am thinking about sumping my tank, just curious on what is the best way to go about doing that, and what size lines do you normally run.

I was looking at the Competition Engineering Sump Kit for $63, However It looks like it will hang too low. Do any of you use that? or What do you guys recommend?

Thanks
-Jay

have any pictures of it?

i was thinking about also, just cutting a whole on the back, and welding on a plate so it wasnt really hanging any lower then the tank. think that would be good enough, or do you think it needs to drop down a little?

with a sump it allows you run a big inline pump with big lines so that you can have volume in high hp applications

What would the problem be with doing something like this:

This is a diagram showing how to install the endyn bosch pump inline with using the OEM fuel pickup with fuel line installed instead of the OEM pump (see diagram).

Seems like less hassle if it would work?

I would think the fuel pump would have to be primed or fed from the bottom of the tank before it would start pumping.

Hey Ron, that looks like some awefully small wire to be powering a pump like that?

Why, you can make 600-700hp using a 255 Intake Fuel Pump and Stock Lines along with 1000cc injectors..

Our Street Cars Fuel System Consisted of 255 intake fuel pump, XS Fuel Regulator, Custom Fuel Rail, 860cc injectors, XS Fuel Regulator, and AEM EMS

We made 538hp and 476trq @26psi , we didnt even max out the injectors.. Sometimes I think people get a little to overboard with thier fuel systems on thier street cars..

Heres a pic simple clean and efficient

I asked this question when the class was first being formed, I got a no from
NHRA.

Why not just use a couple of long bulkhead fittings in the back of the tank.
With the fittings in screw on a small extension to the rear center of the tank.
Works fine on my car.

Courtney Green (uglyasscivic) put down 690whp @ 23-24psi with a walbro 255 and stock lines. Hes gotta be getting close to the limits.
