Re: Finally ran my first 9 second passes
Thank you. If we can keep it together Im going to run all but one of the southern events and try to win the overall points.. We'll see what happens. I've got some good competition on the rise. Were all buddies for the most part though.

Incredible work with the car Justin. Love to see where this has gone since last winter. That 6266 looks like it loves those GSC's. Iowa is still single digits right now, and you are already out running 9's. I need to move.

Re: Finally ran my first 9 second passes
Maybe FWD then is limited to 72mm. Depends who shows up as to how fast the class is going. Fwd outlaw FIP in Houston I could've taken those wins if I had a transmission to hold
That much abuse.

Re: Finally ran my first 9 second passes
Yes I have the 1000hp Insane shafts in the car. Ive been running Insane shafts for years. I had their old 600whp design some of the first ones they made back in the day for 9-10 years in my daily driver which is now this drag car. Once we started putting big power through them the joints pushed apart which Mike @ insane said would happen. I upgraded to the 1000hp series recently and they've been great to me. Sheered the teeth off 4th gear axles going strong ! Best part no hub changes.

Yep, if you would have entered FIP in Baytown, you could have probably won another $600 easily. If entered FWD, might have won that too, so an additional $1200. I'd go for FIS and FWD in Ennis. If you win again, try and make the Belle Rose, LA event at No Problem Raceway on March 9th. NPR hooks really well.

I won't be able to make that event because it's the next weekend after Ennis. I will be there for the fall event though.

Siiiikk. I was going to ask you the same thing about the INsaneShafts. Mike is pretty much a 15min drive away from me. I been using the 500whp axles for years now but never slicked down. car puts down 400torque at 6krpms and I been dead hooking in fourth for a while now so their strong for sure. at what power levels did you start having problems with the 500whp axles??? very curious

I had the OLD 600hp axles like the first design. The joints push apart. The newer 500hp ones are a totally different design

Nice. Very impressed with your car man, props to ya. I was reading your build thread and came across "Data setup for oil and fuel pressure, soon to have oil temp as well"
I have s300 V1 and was wondering how did you go about setting this up? This is something I would love to look over after each pass.

Re: Finally ran my first 9 second passes
With the v1 your limited on inputs. You can do oil temp and pressure. You need a pressure transducer and for temp you an use a PLX fluid temp kit which has 0-5v output. That the ecu can interpolate.

Am I the only one around here who can't believe that you made 707 hp on 19 psi out of 62 mm turbo?! Please explain. Congrats on the badassery.

Re: Finally ran my first 9 second passes
We couldn't believe it either to be honest but it does. I though we maybe the map sensor is wrong but it adds 19 Pounds of fuel pressure and I have a 1:1 regulator on the car. That was at 8600rpm too it pulls hard as **** to 9500 and im willing to bet it makes more than 707 at 9500 on 19 pounds. Peak torqure was at like 8000 because boost was coming on slow too. We've got it dialed in and the boost comes on early and holds for the most part so torque comes on a lot earlier
Idk how it does it. It's like the perfect combination of parts or some wizardry from ARFab on the short block. I'm digging it though. We're running 22.5-23 pounds it falls off at the top end a little. The crazy thing is I think the turbos still has a little more in it. We're shooting for 160mph in Ennis in a few weeks. Going to turn it up to 26-27 pounds and monitor air temps. Also been studying my logs and found some improvements that can be made on the tune and boost controlling which should drop 1-2 tenths off the short track.
We've also got some suspension adjustments to make to the car to get it from transferring so much weight to the back and going to take some weight it of the car too this weekend. Still 200 lbs worth of junk in he car that can come out. It's 2620 with me right now.
