How much lighter do you feel you could get it if rules weren't an issue?
Thank you.

My minimum is 1105lbs, I was crossing the scales at Pomona at 1145lbs. The issue is more a money one then a rule one for me. If I had the money to buy a carbon fiber body as well as some other lighter parts, I think I could go under 1000lbs, and put more ballast where I want it. I should be closer to 1105lbs this season, I bought lighter Bogarts rear wheels, that saved me almost 8lbs of rotating weight. If I could afford a lithium battery, I would save about 19-20lbs. But for each pound I get the car lighter my wallet get exponentially lighter. Damn titanium bolts are expensive

I have a 250 inline Chevy that I want to build for the nostalgia races, it will just fit in the car. The Honda maybe aluminum and only four cylinders but it is a stout and thick casting and is not a whole lot lighter then a latter thin casting inline 6 Chevy. The turbo 400 on the other hand is just plain heavy, the good thing is that it will never break.

But Im having a great time with my Honda, so Im going to stay focused on that for now. Im trying to get ready for the Winternationals in a couple of weeks. I want to wind it up higher and see if a shorter gear will help it. The car is all apart right now, I felt the need to change a couple of thing on the chassis to make it work a little better and lighter, from the runs I've made so far.

Yes Ive followed your car for a long while now. If I hadn't already started on my altered I would have built an I/D. It looks like a lot of fun.

It's a lot of fun but also a lot of work. It took us 2 1/2 years of trial and error to get to this point. It is finally paying off though.

What bore and stroke is this S2000 engine? What kind of RPM does it run with the carbs?

[Rev Specialist Front Drive Hub, Crank Trigger and Distributor System

Hey nice job!

Btw how would one be able to contact 'Rev Specialist' to obtain Crank Trigger and Distributor system for the F20c (or a belt driven distributor) - can't locate their website. Our regs also restrict us to using carbs and a distributor.
Thanks

Thank you. I dont have a website as of yet, my regular job is getting in the way, haha. Just IM me and we can figure out if it will work for you. I will be at the Winternationals in Pomona Ca, from 2-8-12 to 2-12-12, but after that hopefully we can work something out. My distributor is mounted to the front motor plate, which is unique to the drag chassis, so we may have to mount it a different way for your application. The crank trigger that I use must be used with an ATI Damper.

Awesome! Now don't hit the index too hard... At least avoid a permanent CIC adjustment

Well, you can stop hoping, because an Altered powered by a HONDA is #1 going into raceday! Good luck tomorrow, and protect that index!!!

By the way....Update your signature!!

Great job Josh, keep on hittin' um hard but at the same time try not to hurt the index! I love your setup, looks like you have a lot of time, hard work and BUCK's invested. Hope to see you at the track sometime this year.

I was showing a friend this earlier today, and then not 5 minutes later we got a text from a friend with pictures of this asking what it is. He was looking at it at the track trying to figure it out.
Good luck!
