I think 8.7~8.8 e.t's are possible with the rules in true street for a 4 cyl FWD car. I am all for letting you run with the previous rules. Progression is a good thing. I was hoping to get to race a fast RWD (domestic or import) at the event. From the short times I saw testing to the 330' in the hotter air from summer time I knew the car would easily go 8's at this event. True street should be a killer class next season, hoping to line up with you!
And for what its worth, by the rules right now there is already an 8.7 sec Evo (east coast) that fits in.. but no one cares about that because people only pay attention to cars they have seen
I too was looking forward to lining up with you, seeing if i could keep up on a DOT tire with 200lbs of crap in the trunk - but there's always next year, Congrats again on the pass and good luck getting her back together.
Might be down at MIR sometime for testing before the end of the season if you wanna line up for ***** and giggles

First off good **** you wasnt hurt in accident.
I think most ppl on here is not understanding the magnitude of how this sport have came and where true street, sfwd, and outlaw have came.
you got guys literally coming off there trailer and running 8s in street trim. that **** alone is heavy within itself. personally 10yrs ago(fnf days) i thought a 9.9 cars was the goal of everybody now you got guys like BubsBoostedEG running 8s on chrome.....wow
I think alot of you guys dont understand what is really going on in this sport. im sorry running mid 8s in street trim in a 2 liter is nuts. you can only guess whats next to come. i wont entertain a/m them guys are aliens from another planet the power and times those guys are running.
but i think instead of trying to dissect every time slip, every breakage look at where the sport has come. just imagine what next year will look like. jeff ran 8s damn near off the trailor, max(jjmotorsports) literally ran 8s off the trailer, rick everly having a damn good year, jimenez racing and that sexy *** car running 8s,speedfactory coming cross country and winning fall nats. but i think these guys and a few others are really curving our sport in the direction it should be going in. and the folks who have a chip on the shoulder will be the guys with the high price builds stuck and posting dumb *** comments

So bittersweet. Congrats on the record, looked too easy! Sucks about the car but I'm sure you'll return even better than before. Glad you are OK after that hit.

The in-car vid is crazy. Pretty hard it. Again cant say i wouldnt have done the same thing but the proper thing to do would have been to hit the gas and point when the backend on a fwd car comes out like that. But again with that much going on again cant say i would have avoided it either.
Another thing i noticed in the vid was the laptop flying around in the car as you hit the barrier. I thought laptops were not allowed to be in the car during runs or is that an NHRA rule? Good thing it went under the dash.
Good thing your ok and congrats on the new pb even though it cost the car.

Pretty certain that Jeff Devos would agree that if we needed one word to describe the entire weekend it would be 'unbelievable.'

WoW pretty hard lick, main thing is you walked away from to tell the story, was defintley a rough weekend, but also congrats on the record
Jeff have you ever checked the back suspension on that car, cause if memory serves me correct when Brian drove the car at shootout it got a little loose and looked like it squirmed as well threw the traps ( at least thats what i think i saw from incar)
All the best on the new set up, hope its a teggy still

I think another situation was was not in my favor was that the front braking system was its own system, and manual (no booster). The rears were hydraulic on a staging brake, and separate. When I applied the brakes it further aggravated the situation since the rear wheels could not scrub any ground speed. I also found that the manual booster made it harder to feel the lock-up of the brakes compared to a booster. The future car will have OEM honda front/rear brakes with an OEM booster. I am keeping this OEM and more simple this time around!!!
