Re: Ek SFWD never ending build.....
Its getting to the point where its a track car. Really don't feel like getting in trouble on the street anymore. I could easily drive it around town if I wanted to. The more I drive the car the more maintenance it will require from me, so track days will be good enough. E85 is rough on oil.

Re: Ek SFWD never ending build.....
Went to the track this sunday for some more testing , local 1/8 mile. first 2 passes were a waste. had issues with either me or the car. Next 2 pass were decent. The car has little power in 1st gear and with my 2 year old tires I still managed to get a 1.60 60' and went 6.3@124 . This coming up weekend I have an IFO event in Commerce GA to attend. Hopefully with some new rubber and more boost up top we can get this thing rolling. More testing and we will get it figured out. Progress is key.

Keep that baby running right! I just went to the track for the first time a week ago and already been back looking for more power and a lower time. I'm addicted!

If you are not progressing or having fun it's not worth it . I do both so I'm good ! Lol it may cost a lot of money but to me the satisfaction of setting goals and achieving them makes it worth it . Racing is a hobby and all hobbies ar not cheap. Main thing is to have fun.

Re: Ek SFWD never ending build.....
couldn't have said it better myself! Its funny really cuz most people that ask me about my car and what I do to it are confused by the time I finish telling them and it always ends with the age old question....But why do this to a Honda civic? People just don't get it!! lol

I plan on eventually driving it around town, but for right now its just a track car.
I have made 1 or 2 quick pulls on my road . 1&2 gears are pointless lol. It might do a little better on the track but nothing to brag about. Im sure with a good traction control setup you could make these work well. Really need something around the 235-255 range to hook decent on the street. just sucks cause all they make are 26" tires when you go above a 225.

***Update***
I don't know if any of you follow me on FB, but a few weeks back I sent my block with rods, pistons and crank to a friend in Houston TX to have some work done to it. Taking the motor home , for some reason he decided to stop and get some food and while he was in the restaurant a group of guys in pickup truck stole the container from out of the truck. I swear there are some sorry *** folks in this world. You cant anything nice without someone either messing with it or stealing it all together.......
Luckily my friend is a great guy and is paying me back for all the lost items. With that being said i already ordered a whole new short block setup.
Closed deck LA sleeves
Prayoonto spec HD Aluminum rods and pistons
HD prayoonto spec head studs
still trying to source a good crank .

Other stuff in the works im making the switch from hondata to AEM v2. There is way more potential when using AEM. I sold my Excessive intake manifold and picked up an 8 injector Gato . The quality of this new gato is amazing .

I also have an AEM ecu I'm waiting to switch over too. I wanted to make sure there were no bugs with the car before running AEM. I am also searching for a 99mm crank as mine got destroyed. LMK if you see one for sale around OKC!
