As of this particular list, you are indeed the quickest and fastest Honda/Acura in the WORLD on 205's

2004 I went 10.91@141 in my car. Only made one pass on street tires, but drove it over an hour to the track and lined up and ran that. Switched to slicks after that pass. 2000 Civic HB, 2550, 235/60/15 M&H tires,

I would love to see a fwd 235-60/15 drag radial class just like they had the allmotor drag radial class back in the day when loann use to race in the class. It would come down to driver and suspension setup and not a horsepower race. lol allmotor, nitrous and turbo all in one class.

A 235/60/15dr (real radial, not a bias) class would be an absolute parts killer. Nscra did a DR class a few years back. They only did it a couple of races, but the 205 225 guys faired better because they could keep the axles/trannys together.

I think that a class of just street tires whether they be bias plys or not would work. I know some others that are interested in something like this too.

Is the list going to be divided into All Motor and Boost or just strictly B vs K?

I honestly don't think the Bias ply's would break more parts than slicks... Its the Wheel hop that kills stuff..
I haven't broken anything on street tires... Knock on wood! lol

I agree the Bias wont break more parts than slicks, in fact its debatable over MT ET Street radials as well..
Its not just wheel hop. I have absoluely 0.
Trannys (In cars that make TQ and hook) dont have a chance. I have never broke an OEM 5th gen Lude axle in my heavy POS, and its all Ive ever run in it making >575 TQ... Prelude axle CVs are HUGE internally. HAVE to use OEM, but like I said... All I do is go look for clean ones. The only time Ive ever changed an axle is when I was too lazy to fix a leaky or ****ed u boot. In 4 years of how I beat the car Ive changed the Drivers side twice and the pass side once. But trannys.. LOL. THATS another story. The Lude CVS (Although the axle size is the same as the accord) are WAY bigger and stronger.
but I HAVE broken... well you know how many trannys (Over 20). B series, H series K series D series.. None of them (without a set in it) will last hooking tq in even a semi heavy car for too long.
Wheelhop will break an axle before a trans... at least from what ive seen... Which is an opinion, but based on experience (of others hahahaha)
Id surely be compelled to push the **** out of my pile..A TRUE "True street car" class.
Full interior.
Current tabs
Glass windows
Working OEM heater
Muffler included in exhaust...(any length exhaust)
Any "DOT" tire
Up to 67mm turbo, NOS and NA all in one class
Class sounds like a **** TON of fun. Limited by suspension and Tire. Having 800 WHP is not much hel over a 300+ WHP NA setup if it isnt 60ing and hookin.
Only thing that sux for me is that I already need a full cage and applicable safety gear for way over 135MPH to not get kicked out that isnt going to happen.... goes against the cars intent.

My buddy did just tweak his K20 6 speed tranny at the track. It formed a hairline crack in the bell housing and started to leak fluid out of it. He said that it wheel hopped pretty bad once. I am chalking that tranny up as a casualty of wheel hop. We tried to fix it by having the case welded, but the leak immediately came back and was worse the 2nd time. Not to mention he said he felt a vibration that was not there previously before the tranny was welded.

Re: Does anyone know the RECORD pass/MPH for a REAL street-driven FWD Honda on radial
I have never broken anything on street tires either, at least not while at the track and launching. I have only broken one stock D series axle while on slicks. Maybe I just have decent luck?

I have not use the 235 radials, but they seem to be made a lot stiffer than the Bias Plys. I guess they have to be. When I last raced on my bias plys they had about 8 psi in them and they felt like slicks. The sidewalls wrinkled up and all. Just from looking at them I would think they were easier on parts.

The Bias ply should act very similar to a Slick IMO.... Ive seen more Diffs break than axles on wheel hop in FWD cars. RWD cars on the other hand ive seen more axles break haha...
In the 600+ passes ive had ive never broken an axle, but i have sheered a few gears off, broken a diff and broken 2 final drives...
