I have personally had bad experiences with ACT, especially their puck clutches. I know a few others too.
I sell tons of comp stage 5's with no complaints yet

i have exactly the opposite experiences than Jeff. I've tried the Comp clutches and had bad experiences with the product (the customer service has always been outstanding though).
I've used ACT for years with no problems. When using non ACT parts is when I have had major problems.
but i do suppose we offer 2 different perspectives. He deals with 500hp+ Turbo cars. I deal with 250+ Alll motor cars.

Re: (RPRacing)
I have a friend who makes about 500whp on a daily driven EK. When I mean daily driven, it's his only car. He's also taken the car to many local drag events and friday test-n-tune. He runs Competition Clutch Stage 5 w/ the Upgraded Pressure Plate. He's had no issues w/ the car. It's got a 99 Si tranny w/ Quaiffe diff and stock axles. No slipping what's so ever.
Hope that's some real world data for you. He's been running the car like this for about 2yrs if not more. There's even a couple vids floating around from local events w/ him and the car running low 11s w/ no cage, full interior, baby seat in the back and even a sub and amp.
My I had ACT 6 puck unsprung hub w/ the extreme PP in my all-motor hatch and it handled anything I threw at it but like posted before all-motor and turbo are 2 different things.

my friend has a similar experience. he has the stage 5 without the upgraded plate. its his only car, and hes got about 10k miles on it now. we just ran its first 10 second pass this weekend on it. 10.90@132mph, no sign of slipping any time soon. car is making well over 350 ft lbs at the wheels, and about 500whp at the track on 24.5" slicks.
as far as our customers CC is pretty much all we use. never had a problem with the clutches, and the customer service is top knotch.
