CCC Racing drag wing install instructions?
I bought a CCC Racing Drag Wing for an EF hatch and it just came in the mail today. Looks great, but it is just a wing, a couple support rods, and some rivets.
Do I just lay it over the stock wing, drill some holes in it and rivet it on, then line up the support rods and drill/rivet them on?
I can't find instructions or guides anywhere. I just don't wanna **** it up if I'm overlooking something everyone else has done before.

Re: CCC Racing drag wing install instructions?
I have a EF Si and the wing did not fit correctly on the hatch or on the spoiler. It came down to me putting it on the stock wing and trim the back side the same shape as the stock wing because when lifting the hatch it would touch the roof edge. Your best best is just rivet to the stock wing. Get the wing where u want it and then evenly space the rods apart and bolt(small nut and bolt) them to spoiler and then rivet to hatch below windshield. On the bottom rivets make sure you use the split rivets.

I wasn't really impressed with mine as well. The support brackets are cheesy and only the top part of the wing was carbon wrapped. As stated, its a pretty easy install. Makes things easier if you have someone to help you.

I planned on painting the underside black, but yeah, wasn't expecting that either. I like the support braces because they are light.

Re: CCC Racing drag wing install instructions?
I was just fitting mine the other day, 91 hatch as well. I tried it over the wing and the shape of the factory wing makes the ends real high and if you leave it like that the wing will interfere with the roof when opening the hatch. I will most likely use without the stock wing, maybe fold up some sheet metal to put up top for extra bracing. The top of the hatch has a downward slope to it to where the ccc wing won't sit flat. I don't want to rivet 2 pieces of sheet metal together that don't sit flush together. Hence the sheet metal piece I will most likely make for it.
But I'm super particular with fitment and gaps after doing bodywork for a few years.

We got the wing in place and used tape to hold it firm and in place, befor drill and rivets!

We sell the higher end rod kit from jerry bickle. they are adjustable $80 for 2 rods!

No worries tippy, post up when you get it figured. How does the lower side portion fasten to the hatch?

TY. I knew i wasnt the only one. I tried talking to them and they said it fits without the spoiler but on there webpage it says ON HATCH or ON SPOILER. Quality just was not there and nether was customer support. That spoiler is now in the garbage and i made my own that fits 100 times better and is 5 inches longer with better looking brackets and adjustable rods.
Can you send me a PM with your order information and email/ contact name? I will look up your order Number and see what email or phone calls u have sent us about the issues you had. That’s not how we work here at CCC Racing, if you have an issue with fitment or Installation issues we refund the customer back if they don’t want the wing. Since you are local to NJ, we could have helped or installed the wing at any of the local Englishtown or Atco event. I just want to follow up on the issues, first time im hearing that you are not using the wing.
Installation is a big part in making the wings look right on the car. We have made new install video because of this. Some issues we have had are shipping damages that bend some parts of the wing; we have fixed this with new packaging design. If this has happened, customers usually send me some info and we would send a new drag wing out to make it right.

With the OEM wing off the car, the wing fits in place and the gap in the middle is needed to open the truck lid after its installed.
I sent you a pm with the information. Send me a few pics of your when u can.

Re: CCC Racing drag wing install instructions?
can't help with the EF, but with my EG hatch it fit perfect and we were lucky enough to have the hatch handle on the glass so that we can remove it and mount the two rods through that hole so that the glass hatch and wing can be opened together. fitment was great, some modifying to the rod brackets and was all set.

Re: CCC Racing drag wing install instructions?
for the most part installation is pretty straight forward. I talked to Arod for a few days seeing if we could get a wing that would fit the 4th gen preludes and he told me a EK civic coupe would with a little modification. Sure enough placement was pretty damn close and looks awesome installed, i didn't have trouble at all. Thanks again for making that happen! i can post pics if anyone wants to see it.

this is pretty interesting right there. For sure Roger should install this on his car since is back end was always so light
