Default Cage through the dash pics

Hey guys, getting a 10pt put in my car finally this coming weekend. Really would rather go through the dash instead of around it. Can u please post some pics of ur cage through the dash so I can get some ideas on how I wanna cut it so its not hacked looking. Any ideas and suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance

figure out the location take a scrap piece of tube if available slightly larger O.D. heat it up with cutting torch and slowly push it through cleanest way by far if you have you location exact.

The eg dash vent where urs is ..is a kinda diamond shaped, so ima have to cut on it a lil bit, but after looking at some pics I'm def going through the vent holes, seems to look clean like that. I'll try to get some pics up later this week as its being done

i like being able to remove the dash for ease of working on wiring or making changes to the car.

My dash is notched. I never liked the idea of going through just for the fact you can never remove it again.

on ek's we go through that circular vent up there and then make two cuts and put it back together...lets us remove the dash, but still looks clean going through the vent hole.

I know you guys hates when someone bumped an old thread, but why start a new thread when a valid thread still existed?

BTW does anyone have detailed pictures of the dash area of a 10 point cage in EK/EM1 with original dash such as this one.

I went through the dash vent hole but i still cut the dash because i put the "dash bar" behind the dash cover for more strength from left to right. Safety was more important than a little cool dash transition. Not as good looking as before but only if you study it.
