Default best shifter for drag racing?

what shifter do you like for drag racing?

i had a cheapo apc short shifter for years and it was complete junk.

and then i switched back to oem shifter which im using right now and its not as bad as the apc one but still junk. the oem goes in gear alot smoother but its making me miss alot of gears for some reason..

the stiff shifter bushings make a world of a difference, lol Mugen sells the kit for liek 80 buks and it really does feel good.

i'm more a C's shifter with the skunk2 **** LOL ... the heavier know helps with balance ... ever pick up an FD3S shiftknob ?

On my old race car, I ran the stock shifter with the upgraded bushings and it worked good for me I do not think your going to get an answer on what the "best" is. Seems like this would be personal taste. Good luck with it!

I like a stock shifter best too.

It's not your stock shifter making you miss gears. It's either slop in the linkage or shifter bushings, a bad trans, or you can't drive.

my rebuilt tranny has been wierd lately. i didnt start missing gears (usually second) until i put the stock shifter back on and replaced the syncromesh with the new honda mtf. im starting to not like the new honda mtf water.. i think that is what is causing the problems. as soon as it warms up it doesnt like to go into gear as good. that **** was like water going in but i thought it was the best to use.
