Default Best Drag Slicks to use

Hi guys

Wanting to find to find out which Slicks you have found the best (without meaning to slate anyone brand over the other)

Would you reccommend M&H or Mickey Thompson

Im currently running M&H 26-10-15 on my drag 95 EG hatch
Drivetrain issues are not really a concern as the car now has Driveshaftshop level 5.9 axles, Quaife ATB and MFactory PRO 3/4 gears

The car also runs wheelie bars and I guess it would be a semi hot rod/Quick class type car because it runs wheelie bars, stripped out interior, lexan windows etc. but still an original metal front end !

My best 60ft to date is a 1.48 with the M&H's

I now need to replace my current slicks due to a sidewall tear

Would the M/T 26-10-15 C be a better tire as I can purchase these now and is there a real difference between the C and normal version ????

Your advice and input will be appreciated

I've always used M&H and have had good luck. I have buddies who have used hoosier and M&T slicks but have had better results on M&Hs...

I seem to recall John telling me they were some guys running quicker 9's with his tires.

So may be M&H work better for your set up.

Guys, A BIG THANK YOU for the support. I have racers that have gone 9.45 on our slicks w/o the High tech front ends. I wonder what would happen when they do, I guess we will have to wait next year.

Thank You again for the support.

I like the MH tires better. I went better 330' on the 25" than the 24.5 m/t. I switched to the 26x8x13 and they work so good, I have been finding out which parts break. I have stronger stuff now and we are going to see how fast you can go on them at the outlaw race!

Thanx for the input all !!!

You'll notice I've set up a POLL regarding this same issue - so we can see some results on opinions !!

Ive been happy with my M&H's as well but other racers here in SA have said that they dont work as well for them as the OTHER brand !!!

@SlicksMH (John) are there different compounds/styles specifically for FWD in the 26-10-15 or are they the same ??? Thanx for your input

I guess it would depend largely on individual set up, tire pressure, launch style etc + many more factors !!

So i am going to try a set of M/T 26-10-15 C and see if there truely is a difference .....?

I have done alot of tire testing, and we always go back to the HB-11 overall for the FWD. We have tried this compound with the N-T/Fuel and made the cars go faster, but we went back to the old compound to slow them down.
