All motor J series
So I just wanted to share real quick my all motor j series setup. I don't know if anyone remembers me on here before, but here is a little back ground. Years ago I was racing in the IFO fwd class with my 800hp civic. Ran a PB of 10.02@150mph. Then after throwing a few rods I switched to all motor to give it a try. I figured Id do that for a season or two while I built a very strong turbo engine. Well, I kinda got hooked on all motor and was having a lot of fun. I run in the AMS class. I did B series for 2 seasons. Made about 270hp and ran an 11.7@117mph.
After I found my head was damaged during winter maintenance/upgrades, I decided to bite the bullet and go J series. I had been thinking about it for a year. Instead of getting a new head, porting it and doing my planned stroker, I figured I could just spend that money on a J swap. Best decision I ever made. This engine is a junk yard engine. Bone stock except bolt-ons. It made way more power and torque stock than the fully built race B series. And it ran the same times. Oh, and all on pump gas. The B series was on methanol.
So here is the setup.
'01 Acura CL Type-s long block
Skunk2 B series Throttle body
port matched intake manifold
DC sports headers
3" K-teller exhaust
Clutch masters aluminum flywheel and clutch
type-s 6 speed transmission
DSS 2.9 axles
K tuned billet RSX shifter
rsx shift cables
Wireworx J swap harness
Tuned on AEM V2
91 pump gas
Made 312hp dynojet. Cant remember the torque, still haven't gotten the dyno sheet.
So to date with this setup I ran a PB of 11.7@114mph
Im making a few small changes that will hopefully help and get my mph up and times down.
UPDATE: 11/22/16 on last page.

Re: All motor J series
Im building this slowly. Starting from the bottom and working my way up. Putting a 3.7L crank in, inline pro rods and some pistons to raise the compression. Then Ill do the heads. I think the 90mm tb and custom intake will be the last thing.
Id love to see those custom long tubes you have. How much did you pay for them?

i got them second hand but still new, so they were cheaper. original owner had rameybuilt make them with all burns collector and vibrant piping. second guy got them swaintech coated.

Re: All motor J series
Yeah, Ive actually seen those. Really nice. I really wish I could get a set. I think Im just going to get a friend, who is a fabricator, to make me a set. I don't want to go too crazy since I plan on going hood exit in a few years for the all motor pro class. So I just want the same design I have now, but a little longer tubes and bigger. Just need the exhaust to flow a lot better.

nice. I have a J too but turns out I had some bent valves that the junkyard didn't disclose to me so I decided to just rebuild the heads with some portwork, so that held me back.
I have made plates for intake manifold plenums though if you're interested in the future. Made one for my set up and had a few extra made at the same time.

Nice build. TB from SD has gotten some good results out of the J when it can put the power down. Did a 9.82@143.37 against us at the first event of the year.
