I read on EFI101 that they make A system for around $1200, I think it is the 1.0 or 1.2 model.

AEM has lots of bugs. When I first got mine I ended up sending 2 back within 3 months. Then again this was when they were first released and new updates were coming out every day. The last unit I received worked well, but I haven't driven that car in a long time(oil pump failure) so I sold the EMS and got the newest version. Car should be done in a couple of weeks so we'll see how it goes.

I never had an ems problem that killed an engine. only coil driver failures. after those were sorted out in the early boxes i havent had an issues, my 1050 box works perfectly.

i personally love my AEM. it's got more than enough features to keep me learning for a while and the support from AEM is great; to include thier electronics forum.

with used aem units going for well under a thousand, i think it's a great way to go for a somewhat budget minded person.

hey how about the FAST?
We had that switched to MOTEC and never looked back.

Bought our MOTECs directly previously, but contact Tony at T1. Support our fellow racers, he's the guy to get MOTEC systems from.

That's a base box, with 6 hours of logging. Unlimited logging and lambda are additional.

i honestly think that AEM needs to sell a T1 cam trigger kit with the honda box's. AEM with the stock distributor is the worst.

i was scared to run my AEM at first but ran it all last year with no problems after i put the T1 kit on. it didnt work worth a damn with the 3 or 4 distributors i used.

I think it's very hit and miss, some people have good luck with the aem and stock dist. and some don't. Motec is the same way with the oem dist. Some work fine, and some don't.

i sometimes wonder if AEMs are really just rebadged SSAC ecus, the issues I have out of them resemble the same uneeded issues you would have out of a SSAC product.

theyre cheap and easy for a reason. just my 2 cents though

Ive never had any issues with my AEM EMS sooo far. BUT, the real question like everyone is saying...WHAT ems would your tuner rather tune with. OR what ems does your tuner know better???

Good luck with everything!
