I'm pretty sure in the Nhra sfwd days there was a penalty for nos to and it was between 150-200 lbs. the suit is an Nhra rule since they classify e85 with alcohol fuels.

wasnt the weight for 72mm always 2450? and if so the weight is now 2400 and with the ethanol fuel penalty its back to 2450 so whats the big deal? Last year everyone cried because they couldnt use e98 now it seems e98 is okay but all ethanol users add 50 lbs and its still a problem.

All the complainers never win events and the ones who adapt to rule changes seem to win. Maybe some of yall need to just shut up and race

Its all crap in my book.... One month before the event .
If they came out with the rules in January its ok with me, people still have time to build and buy parts

I guess I will exercise my right then

Upgrading safety I will never argue with. Taillight rule we've always only needed one working taillight not ogs events but any track I've fan only cares that one is lit at night. Not a big deal though to throw a couple wires over to the other one. I don't quite understand the 50lb rule but I'm on c16 so I can't say anything either way

Just curious, which of these Rules is so drastic that a true street 67mm car would not be able to change in a month before honda day, or 2 months before spring nationals ?

Also what parts rules are different then 2012 ?
It's all weight penalties and safety for the most part. maybe i missed something.

The Fire Suit is the biggest thing, as that is $$ but thats a NHRA rule.

What if we get a sticker like Dave Fry has that has 100% of the core exposed? haha

I'll just make a removeable panel for other events that allow it to be covered up.

However, if there is nothing in "the rule book" that states prohibited, is it really cheating?

People will find another way to go fast again. Look at the top fuel guys. Going faster in 1000' than they were in 1320'.

Alot of bitching in here. Some of it by people that I have never seen at a OGS event.

The same people with meet the rules/"cheat" the rules and show up and race. No matter how many threads there are on H-T bitching about it.

We just going to have to adapt to rule changes each year and spend more money! If someone has a modified turbo they will have to buy a new turbo to fit in the class. If you have wider wheels, and you want to race in the class you will need to buy new wheels.

As long as they enforce the ruels for everyone im fine with that.

No problem. I ended up ordering a custom suit from K1racegear.com. I got one from Profox and wasn't too thrilled. They gave me a hard time, but in the end I got all my money back.
