At least they are coming back to AZ for the opener. And the only West Coast event again.
You would think that all the Texas racers that supported the series this year they would at least try and get some Texas race in there.

Re: (b18bturbo)
I will cover this once again for those who have forgotten.
All 7 events have had poor turn outs to say the least.
San Antonio 3 times.
Dallas 2 times.
Houston 2 times.
Our street events have had better turn-outs than these venues, if that tells you how poor the attendance was.
We do appreciate the support that the Texas racers have given over the years, but the fans in Texas just plain do not come to the track. Why do think that the NHRA does not go?????

NO, I understand completely...I agree with you...tex-*** just sucks attendance and racer wise (but mostly attendance)...no body around here gives two ***** about "sport compact drag racing"...everytime there was a NOPI or NHRA event it seamed like I was the only one that knew about it ...Now racing wise we either dont have enough funds to travel half way across the country or we seam to always break something...altogether there is probably less than 10 cars from texas that actually race in either series.

Re: 2006 NDRA Schedule (fieldafm)
No, no Bristol. The police are too rough on our competitors and fans. Over 300 tickets written on Friday and Saturday nights. Nothing serious either, headlights, taillights, tint, muffler/exhaust, ride height.

Re: 2006 NDRA Schedule (underpressure02)
I am not sure Bristol cares, they have several Nascar races, Powerade event, Super Chevy and several other events, so why not pick on the kids?

Re: 2006 NDRA Schedule (underpressure02)
Wow, no Bristol. That was by far the nicest facility on the schedule with Bradenton being the worst. Looks like it is more northeast events now. No street events also. This is just tentative so it will most likely change.
