Ok update.... 4pistons never got back with me so rlz is shipping me one out today so that's solved. Talked to Danny at set last night and told him exactly what I wanted and waiting to hear back from him before I build my own

Damn Justin, you're not wasting any time are ya? As others have said, talk to Randy... As much research he's done with his car, that is who I would talk to.
I've been playing with my Z06 more than the Honda lately.. Think I'm going to put a blower on it and have a fun DD.
Can't wait to see your car on my dyno and then lay a number down at the track.
I still need that wideband from ya and the other things we talked about.

Danny @ SSR is a good guy and builds nice headers, hopefully he can help you out. otherwise if your still in need this fall i can do it.

sorry i dont have the time to do it now, i only build parts in the fall/winter while in not busy w/ my regular job.

glad you were able to get an RLZ head, regardless of past customer service issues RLZ heads do infact make the most power of anything available. Luke @ 4Piston is a good guy and has great customer service but the insiders of this sport know RLZ heads make the power and also know the scoop on others heads to compare to

No prob man I completely understand... I'll have something in the next few weeks even if I got to be a copy cat and build my own bc I know exactly what I want

Indeed... I know what both flow and was asked NOT to talk about it so I WON'T I'll just say both heads are doin work!!! Either of these heads will do me just fine as I'm not looking to break records or break the bank just looking for fun and hoping for a 10

Luke has been doing h22 heads. Just because its shiny now doesnt make better than the others

Nothing against Luke, like i said hes a nice guy and i have even been sending work his way since i havent been able to get ahold of RLZ.

Even so, i wouldnt want to run anything but an RLZ cylinder head on my car for good reason.

Reading this thread you'd think there are only 2 places to get a decent Honda head done. There are a lot of 4v bike guys and domestic head porters on the left coast that have done some amazing Honda heads over the years. A lot of these guys don't focus on the Honda market so most are unknown to the average HT'er. But they do exist. You just have to look beyond HT.

Agreed but someone that specializes is a specific thing is normally better just like if rlz ported a bike head... I'm sure it would be nice but that big bike shops would be better

Where do you think Brad Zawislak got most of his experience in 4V head porting? Pro Stock Bike....

RLZ and 4piston both seems like they are both top notch. is it really fair to label one #1 an the other #2

if u had one of their heads already, is the difference big enough for u to swap it out for the other? if the answer is no, then u probably should pick whoever has a faster turnaround time and customer service

Because 4.92FD is probably one of the shortest available for b-series tranny, I would sick to the B16 gearset if running 24.5" (put you around 135-140mph through the traps @ 10k). A GSR is alittle tall without having a shorter FD available. NO 5TH GEAR!

Running a b-series tranny does have more aftermarket support, but the main benefit is axle alignment. The h tranny in a b/d chassis makes for a crappy axle angle. Not really an issue until you're making big power.

As for the xcessive intake, their plenum flange is universal so so could fit their center throttle body plenum on the H lower runners. Could be nice.

i havent got any real great numbers with it yet....this was a 13.0.1 just a small cam motor and it made 250whp on local v-8 shop headwork at only 7200rpm but ended up jumping time and bent some valves before any nitrous or track pass's...the new set-up is 14.0.1cr and rob alainz head work....hopefully on the nitrous shot im close to 450-500whp and i spray a 200shot....
