Re: **Post your Fuel System and Questions**
Straight from the Weldon Fuel Pump FAQ website...
6. What position(s) can I mount my Weldon pump? Can I mount it upside down? Can I mount the pump above (higher) then the top of the fuel cell?
The preferred mounting position is with the motor up and the pump end down, but it can be mounted horizontally or vertically. It is okay to mount a Weldon Pump above the fuel tank / cell – they can lift as well as push the fuel. Do not mount a Weldon Pump at a 45 deg. angle – this will cause an added load on the motor and pump bearings.
hope that helps

Does anyone run a full blown dual hanger with (2) AEM 320s pumps, -8 Feed and -6 Return with ID 2000's? I'm just wondering what this setup would allow me to make on Ignite E85 and C16 race gas

I'm making 800 range with 4 id2000's and magnafuel mp4303 with plenty of fuel left on E98 which takes more fuel than e85. Base pressure of 55

Re: **Post your Fuel System and Questions**
i got a question, i have a 5.5 gal stock location fuel tank. sumped and baffled. Same thing as the fcs minus the cutout on top for the stock sending unit. i forgot the guy that made the tank but i want to know how to get the fuel level reading to my cluster? Like i said, theres no top cutout where the stock sending unit can drop in.
if it makes a difference my set up is on my

aeromotive a1000
pre and post aero filters
(2x) -8 feed
-6 return

Yeah you'll need a pre pump filter to protect the pump and a post pump filter to protect your injectors.
I've heard alot of bad things about the a1000... crap pump imo. Check out weldon or Magnafuel pumps. Pricey but nice

Generally speaking pump manufacturers have recommendations for such things. Choose a pump and ask them. Weldon's recommendations:

Some people recommend running a 6 micron pre injector. I'd ask whoever manufacturers your injectors instead of some random people on a forum... just saying

Fuelab 6 micron before the injectors after the pump. I run a 50 micron before the pump. Running Magnafuel MP4303 and it's been a great pump for me.

Re: **Post your Fuel System and Questions**
this might be a stupid question, but I'd still like to know the answer.
Aside from simply just bigger being better, are there any other reasons to upgrade fuel feed and return lines from factory to -6AN? The setup in question will be about the 425hp mark.
I also see fuel line upgrades that only take place in the engine compartment. I don't understand the reason for upgrading these sections of line that are in the bay aside from aesthetics. Anyone care to elaborate?

Re: **Post your Fuel System and Questions**
Larger lines higher volume of fuel flow. Stock lines will be fine for that power level. If doing aftermarket cell or sumping the tank you'll have to run lines.

Re: **Post your Fuel System and Questions**
More volume dampens injector pulses more effectively, but unless you're running really big injectors I wouldn't be too concerned.

My current plans:
Goal: 650-700ish HP
Fuel: e85
Walbro 450 intake
-6 out of tank using an adapter
-6 into fuel filter (unknown yet) can I use one the small Russell 3"
-8 out of filter then into rail
AEM on rail or fuellab mini FPR
-6 return
Thoughts?

Re: **Post your Fuel System and Questions**
On mustangs dyno even with a new feed line we're seeing 580-600 whp with walbro 450 and e85 my friends cars. They've all switched to larger external pumps since.
