tony hope you can help me out with this because ive seen your inj/pump/power chart. I know this option is not there

I upgraded from twin 044/2150cc injs to weldon 2035-A pump and 2150cc inj...

how much hp can it handle on gas and e85.

also does nylon braided lines (earls, fragola etc) safe for e85?

A good performing 2035 pump should increase the flow by 20% over twin 044 pumps.
This statement assumes that either system will run at the same voltage and have good
supply to the pump(s).

good supply means that the 044s are well sumped since they cannot suck fuel that good and must be in the same level as the sump.

while the 2035 can suck fuel and be done with it.lol

another question though...

according to weldon's website you can daily drive their pumps with the use of 14000 pwm controller. if ever you'll do that is there a good chance that the pump will wear out easily and shorten it's life span?

The 14000 Dial-A-Flow controller is a pulse width modulation (PWM) unit that will reduce the armature speed while reducing the wear of the pump assembly and the heating of the fuel.

Thanks Mr. T1, I was waiting to hear an answer from you.

I will give a shot with current fuel line and will see.

Thanks again.

thanks EM for answering...

who else runs their weldon in extensive amount of time? what pump speed controller did you guys use? so far from what i read, there are two options.

1.weldon 14000 pump controller
2.aeromotive 16306 pump controller

anyone else who makes PWM pump controllers?

lastly, give or take how long can you ran your weldon pump w/o the controller, without completely damaging your pump?10mins?any ideas?

Weldon states that the motor life on most of the pumps will be approximately 1,400
hrs. This time estimate can vary with voltage and fuel pressure loading. ( Amp Draw).
If you operate the proper pump with the Dial-A-Flow for street operation the pump's
motor life can increase 30%.
The 2035-A pump is not rated for continuous duty due to the higher rpm operation and
higher amperage draw of it's motor assembly. If the pump is operated at base fuel pressures of 45 psi or less, and the Dial-A-Flow controller is properly configured for "Race" mode activation, Weldon states the pump will operate
well and with a good service life. Continued operation at fuel pressures above 45 psi
will increase the amperage draw and subsequent motor heat and wear.

FWIW, I was told that the primary reason for using the Dial A Flow is so the fuel doesn't overheat and cause cavitation.

We emailed weldon yesterday and according to Jim Craig, the 2035 is not really designed to be used in the street even though you use the 14000 controller, it help but, the main problem is that the pump is NOT designed to be used in prolong periods of time even if with the controller. He also stated what Em(kinsler) stated above.

I was reading yellowbullet forums and those guys are using 2035/14000 combo on the street and loving it, but then again it came directly from weldon that they don't suggest it so oh well...

Recently switched from a sumped tank with A1000 pump to a Walboro 255 intank (zero pressure) feeding duel bosch 044's mounted on firewall in surgetank......

New setup is MUCH better.

Great help on this project from Cortney Green. Big ups.

So i am gettin ready to go on the dyno in a few weeks and my fuel system right now is Walbro 255 intank, bosch 044 inline with ID 2000's. Will my injectors be too big for just a single 044? I know its a noob question just figured I would ask as I am not to sure. Thanks in advance.

The ID2000's aren't too big for your pump, but the pump is the limiting factor by a long shot. 1 set of ID2000's flows more than two 044's.

haha thanks man. I plan to max my stage 5 clutch out and who knows what will be. Could be 550, 575, 600+ Really depending on the TQ though. Just heard the ID 2000's out flow the single bosch inline 044 and wasnt sure if I heard right or not

So will that actually hurt me when shooting for 700+whp next season?

C16. 700whp+ meaning what ever the single 044 inline, walbro 255 intank and ID 2000's can produce.

The walbro/Bosch combo will do 700-750whp most likely on C16. More than that just add another 044 and sumped tank or fuel cell.

I do have a question. And I have searched a bit.

But has anyone tinkered with the new aeromotive 340 pumps?

If so, what would the hp limit be for one of those + id1000s on e85?

The only info close to that I have found so far were from an evo forum. And apparently the whp limit is around 500-550ish. But I'm just trying to get more info all around, ya know?

Hey guys, quick question.
My target is 800whp on e85and my fuel system consists of:
Walbro 255 intank, bosch 044, FIC 2150cc injectors, Aeromotive 12339 inline filter, Aeromotive FPR, HR 8an fuel rail, 8an feed line, 6an return line.
My question is, i was told i won't be able to reach that number on e85 with what i have.
What are my options? what about replacing the walbro intank for an aeromotive 340?
