** ALL YOU 10 SEC,9 SEC SFWD COMPETITORS WITH A B-SERIES WHATS YOUR SETUP **
I asked this because alot of people on hear want to know what it takes with a B-SERIES to hit this range.I know driver, suspension plays alot in to it.But whats your motor setup for you too reach the 9's or even 10's.Like what turbo you using, stock crank, and HP your putting down to the wheels.I know some of you would rather not tell. But others that dont mind we would like to hear from you.

Re: (RTW DC2R)
You think everyone is going to give all their info away when they've worked really hard to get to where they are? Look at tony, he's worked really hard to get raymond's car to where it is today, but he didnt go on HT asking for info. But I will say this, his set up is actually very simple. Crower rods, JE pistons 84mm, GSR block, RLZ head blah blah. I could say GT42R to go fast, but look at Mazworx with the GT4067 going 157mph.
Between Matt Keller, Tony1, Mazworx and Jason Hunt's coupe the set ups are different from each other. They are just hard working people who don't rely on HT for answers. Sorry this isnt the answer you wanted to hear, but its the truth.

Personally, I dont see whats so wrong for asking about peoples setups, sure they spent a lot of time and money on their cars to make them go fast and make power. Thats a given. But you are the guys we look up to, I know im 21 years old and i dont have the money to try a bunch of different setups to see what makes power. I would rather ask before i buy something, and as he stated a lot of people wont want to tell theirs, which is fine. You said it yourself, simple setups can make power, whats wrong with asking for people who are willing to share? sorry to sound like a dick i just dont get why you responded with what you did, it seemed like you are talking down on people just trying to improve their knoweldge to build a faster car, isnt that what this sport is about?

Re: (Rob!)
I understand what art is saying about asking about other people's set ups, it is a very compeditive class and most people dont want to give up their secrets...
I used this thread to give a shameless plug to my sponsors...

i understand why people wouldnt want to either, but a lot of people dont care including myself. he said many people wont want to but for those who are willing to share we would love the input. by no means am i trying to start a fight online (with the worse person no less). i just dont see whats wrong with being curious of the faster guys out there.

Some of us make our living in this sport, and some of the "secrets" and recommendations are part of the services we provide. Our customers benefit from our testing and experiences. If you are serious about building something competitive, you should work with someone with some experience.
I'm sure most of my customers will agree, i usually go out of my way to help them get their car setup right or recommend the right combination of parts.

Re: (tony1)
i shouldnt be going here but here goes... part of honda-tech is to open up the ideas and help from others for the do-it yourselfer. the main reason this forum began was not to send our cars to shops but to have communication between enthusiasts throughout the world so we dont have to go through the process of trial and error or take our car to a shop but to share our ideas, now if you want to keep your ideas that worked for you to yourself and your customers thats fine and totally understandable. but the point of this thread was to ask for people that were willing to share.
