Looks like Gary's getting a handle on it now.

Gary White Toyota Supra 6.787 205.41

Brian Ballard Chevrolet Cobalt 9.502 154.49
Mat Keller Acura Integra 9.657 162.90

Very impressive times guys. Good luck to my FWD brothers tomorrow.

I am very unhappy about this rule change allowing alcohol in Pro-4 now. Not to mention this was done AFTER the first race of the season. We were never notified about it, nor did I see it posted ANYWHERE on the internet. 150 lb weight penalty? Give me a break, that 150 lbs is not even going to come close to offsetting the extra horsepower one can make on alcohol over gas, not to mention most cars aren't at the minimum weight and won't have to add weight anyway. Even if they did have to add weight, it can just be ballasted to be advantagious.

We just got our motor done and started in this car and found out TODAY that we can use alcohol. Now we would have to build a new motor and completly change the fuel system. Ever since the end of the 2005 season NOPI preached about the class being gasoline only. If a decision like this we're to been made MONTHS ago, we could have planned accordingly, but it was done hastally during the race season which is going to screw over alot of people and make many unhappy. I see Pro-4 ending up being DEAD this year. I'm really starting to second guess our decision to run NDRA races.

No. I caught up with Sav and Ron Bergenholtz (he was there helping Sav out) on Friday. They were preparing for the NJ NHRA event.

They did allow Alcohol in the first race. And why would you have to rebuild the motor? I run the same set up on Alcohol that I did on gas, I just run more injector and a bigger pump. Dont get me wrong I understand where youre comming from

Oh, the mess ups on Nopi's website today are amazing. Alot of the classes are missing people that were racing and also alot of the times are wrong and what place that hold is wrong. The question about Mark Remick running the 9's @ 131, that is incorrect. He broke on that run and for some odd reason it put down that 9 second run as his 1/4 mile time. His best qualifying pass was 11.1 @131.

What we broke on the 2nd qualify pass was the output shaft on the transmission and luckily had a spare. We had a feeling it was going to break since we have broke 4 more in the past few months. So, while it was apart we put in a stock center diff. and the new output shaft in 50 min. We did run a 3rd qualify pass of 11.8 @ 129mph. After everyone was done and the open session started. Mark put the car back on the track and gave a few more tries. The first two they had him on a standard tree and messed him up. 3rd run was on a pro-tree and a new record of 10.99@ 131mph was set for us. If any of you have any questions, i will help if i can.

I wasn't able to make it but my crew is there with the black "Team B.Y.E." Civic hatch in Power street as well. I was told there will be no qualifying sessions Sunday. Is that true? It just sounds unusual because I've never ran a NOPI race and they didn't do qualifying rounds on Sunday. If anybody knows please chime in.
