just got word from mikey sedra the street stock final was against francisco and francisco won on i believe a 12.152 to mikeys 12.153 and mikey gave up a little on the light, unfortunatley mikeys car caught fire on the return road and minor damage and we will have it fixed by oregon. great racing guys and we got more for ya next time fran. but i have to say great sportsmanship by fran he was the one who grabbed the track personel to let them now mikes car was on fire! a tab that held the fuel rail broke and caused the fire, sorry i dont have more news about the pro cars but i bet they will start rolling in now that the race is over! i also heard norris had red light against jeremy and bergenholtz had a brush with a corvette in a match race but they still raced as the night went on!

We just got home. The car had some problems, didn't run anything worth ****. But the car did drive back on the trailer so that's a good thing.

Couldnt believe how many cars broke tonight. Does anybody know what came flying off of the Talon?? I got some pictures I'll try to post them up tomorrow. Not a fun drive back to Portland this morning.

congrats to Brian and Bub as well both

Just got home!!

Justin Nassey AKA (Bub White EG) Local guy from Vancouver WA won S/C.. This would be his first ever win of any kind!

Well this weekend i really had fun...the only downside of the whole BOTI experence was getting kicked out of the pit area at 8am saturday morning ..After we were told by one of the track managers that we were allowed to stay in our trailers that night.... I guess we can thank Marlboro for that...

Jake it was nice meeting you!! Im glad my jack and jackstands could be of use to you !! Sorry to hear about your car... It seems like none of the DSM guys had any luck this weekend... i guess the dipstick fell out of Jeff Bush's (English racing/ETS) Talon and started a mini fire...burned everything from the head up ...

It was awesome meeting some of you!! Francisco (congrats on the win!) Coolest part i think was playing Guitar Hero at 1am behind Leslie's Scion XB!!!! Thank you again for that! it was fun! hahaha

My tunner had his personal best in his CRX 9.56@151

i got knocked out in Q16 and took 3rd hahah... Very close racing there and way fun....

Hope to see all of you again in Woodburn in a month...

Myles

Both car and spectator turnouts were pretty good but definitely less than last year. Overall, seeing the pro cars race was unreal.

Congrats to Bub for winning the S/C class (beating Yo parts integra) and TJ from English Racing for running a 9.55 @ 151 in his crx in the quick 16 class. Both of these guys are from washougal washington and definitely show everybody that keeping it simple works!!!

Brian from Forged Performance who finished 2nd in the S/C class. Get those issues figured out and we'll see you at woodburn.

Will, keep on doing what your doing. We'll figure out all the issues and go fast at woodburn!!!

Not sure what BOTI you were at. But even the BOTI staff said that there was almost double the cars from last year. Also Bergenholtz said that other than Vegas, this was the biggest turnout. The NW showed their support. I hope it has the same effect in Woodburn.

Congrats to Fran in S/S very close race with Mikey... Mikey you guys need to get to the Junkyard and get a wiring harness. 12.15 vs. 12.15

I know Bergenholtz needed to change his shorts after sideswiping the Vette at 150+ mph.

Congrats to everyone on coming out and being a part of the weekend. This is the support we need to show to keep BOTI and other possibly other events coming out.

We have video of Bergenholtz race against the vette. Close race. The vettes wheelie bars were all messed up.

And we just happened to be there to see and record mikeys car go up in flames.

Awesome night!

Would have been nice if Kenny Tran could have opened it up atleast once.

I'll get my friends to post the videos as soon as possible.

Yup, we have lotsa vid coverage, but right now I am fighting to convert the stupid sony AVCHD format to mpeg or somthing in order to host it on youtube.

Went back to the pits and showed Ed the video, then Ron, then about ten other ppl were lining up to see LOL. Ed tried to put it on his laptop, but my battery died on my video cam (from replaying the vid so much) so he wasnt able to do so.

Great attendance, great racing. I know I am going to be investing in a fire extinquisher for sure now I saw Mikeys car go up in flames, I hope he buys one too! LOL

anyhow, I will keep trying to convert the vids and post them up ASAP.

If Woodburn host as many people as Seattle did, it will be a great weekend.. The NW needs to continue to show their support for our sport.

You guys need to make sure that you make weight in your respective classes. We had quite a few cars not make it in because they were too light. If you dont know what it should weigh, goto boti.com and check the rules.

Also , make sure that your windshield is not all cracked. You may not pass tech inspection with that broken windshield. People using a "Catch Can" make sure it is at least a 2 quart in capacity. Relocated batteries need to have a battery shut off switch in the rear of the car... These are all things that we saw in Tech inspection that some people were not allowed to race in the event.

Make sure you have ALL your tech stuff correct the tech guys at Woodburn can be real ******* over seemingly trivial stuff so triple check everything

I had a great time, it was a really good event. I was able to take second in my class, but I dont mind because I lost to Loan, her car is extremely fast but she is super cool and nice (cant say that about some of the others). I also ran a personal best of a 11.50@116. I guess its time for a cage

This is the footage I have of Ed's grudge match against the big badass 632 cubic inch Corvette on nitrous. Please excuse the quality as it was only taken with my digital camera. A much better footage will be posted up by robx7fcna which includes the near tragic collision in the end. Some great driving by two great competitors to avoid a worse outcome.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8rWFDLYRc8

The aftermath, some minor damage on Ed's front end.

I was not able to take pictures of the Corvette's wheelie bars. They were in a few broken pieces to say the least.

Myself, robx7fcna and 89sir showing Ed the video of his run and close encounter.

Robx7fcna showing Ed and Ron the same footage
