Re: Official Classic Honda's picture thread
I passed up a 78 civic for $200 a few months ago. I thought it had more rust than i could handle, now i greatly regret it.
It was a 5 speed which seemed crazy to me, considering it is such a small motor (1300cc?)

New rimz, yO!
I got them for a great price too. Theyre pretty dirty, but nothing that some good rim cleaner can handle.
My NOS mudflaps are on now too. Much better then the cheap autozone ones.

Where did you purchase those mudflaps from? Rims look nice though! HX rims or CX rims? They look like 14s so guessing HX.

Theyre hx rims and for whatever reason, the car looks really jacked in the picture. Lol
I got the mudflaps off ebay.
And to BalticBoy- Did you have to put a spacer on the rear wheels? Because my centercaps wont fit with my bearing caps.

Re: Official Classic Honda's picture thread
bob78cvcc, from the 1stgencivic I presume? Well, the swap in my wagon took me less than 2 weeks from draining the oil of the 1500 cvcc to driving it around with the ZC. BUT, I had previous experience with the exact same swap. I guess I'm pretty handy so it wasn't too difficult for me, I just hate the wiring part, that always takes me the longest, because I tend to procrastinate as much as I can, LOL! Justin helped me out A LOT through e-mails during my yellow '76 cvcc hatch build back in 1999-2000 too. It's fitting since his wagon was my original inspiration to find a 1st gen civic.
p.s. I see our post counts are very similar hahaha!

I wont take my bearing caps off because of all the salt and stuff we have up here. I guess ill buy a pair of spacers and see how it goes.
I really like the front lips, but i cant find one anywhere. Ive never even seen another 2nd gen civic in person.

How do the door moldings pop off? If I ever paint the beast I want to get rid of the moldings and the lip and wondering if they just pop off or not?

Re: Official Classic Honda's picture thread
damn....wish my CRX had body panels like this!
story: one day on the island this old couple were in a fancy red CRX that looked like it just rolled off the lot [probably because they never drove it anywhere except to the market]....lol....anywho, they were totally rubbernecking at my CRX [with a bunch of broken plastic body panels] while at the gas station. Not sure if they were looking so hard because it was hidious or marvelous...but they sure seemed mistified! LOL. I just waved. Just thought I would share that totally awesome story [...okay ??]
