Very Sporradic Power Outage
Hi Guys,
A rare problem has just happened again to me today and I am at a loss of what it could be.
The first and 3rd times its happened (in a 6 month span), when attempting to start my car, it suddenly lost all power (Including clock and head unit memory), the power outage continued for about 30 seconds which then everything returns to normal. I did not touch or do anything when the power returned.
The 2nd time it happened the car was off and locked, and I had noticed it had lost power when I was unable to unlock using my fob. Once again, after a period of time power returned and other than a clock reset and what not all was normal.
Anyone have any ideas for me to try? Thanks!
-Nigel

Check your batt. to chassis and chassis to engine grounds, do not just eyeball them, remove them clean both contact surfaces and reconnect.
If that does not solve the problem, do the same with the main power connections, batt. to engine bay fuse box and the main fuse, again remove clean and reconnect.
If that does not solve the problem, swap out the batt. although very uncommon connections of the posts to the plates inside the batt. can "break" and the symptoms are the same, intermittent loss of power when starting car, will work again after a bit, will get progressively worse untill anytime you crank engine you lose power. 94
