Default need help with alarm/remote start

one day my gf tried to start the car and it didnt start, turned out to be the ground when armed wire to the starter wire. when i cut the wire it started. i figured it was a bad alarm and wanted a new one so i picked up a clifford 50.7x. i installed the alarm a couple days ago without the remote start then today i went to the remote start. i got everything connected right as far as i know, go to start it and nothing. it was acting as the old one was so i cut the ground when armed wire that was on the starter and it started right up. Question 1: the ground when armed wire worked untill today when i installed the green starter input to the end going to the ignition and the violet starter output wire going to starter it wont start unless the ground when armed wire isnt connected. Question 2:the remote start didnt even work on the remote it said remote start error. question 3:the manual says neutral safety switch install on parking brake wire, at first i put it on the neutral safety switch then saw it said on the parking break wire. my parking break wire doesnt even have signal, also when the brake is up the light has never came on and i know the bulb in the cluster works. it also says the parking lights will flash x number of times for the error for remote start that leads to Question 4: the parking lights dont flash they never flashed after i installed the alarm. I put the wire on the same one the old alarm was on. was i supposed to connect the white/brown parking light relay wire? i read i didnt have to use that wire and to just use the regular parking light wire. thanks to anyone who reads this whole thing and can give me some input!

do not connect the GWA, unless you have an external relay that you're power with it. If all you're doing is starter kill, the purple and green wires will do that on their own when the system is armed, no need for the orange GWA.

remote start in a m/t with this system will need 1) a tach connection, 2) parking brake wire (that works) 3) foot brake wire and 4) door trigger wire.

remote start error on the remote could be due to a number of reasons, the most common will be that the unit comes set up for a manual transmission and programmed to a tach-less engine monitoring mode. as we established earlier, m/t requires a tach connection so this wont work by default (intentional for what are likely legal reasons).

the parking light circuit for the system requires you to put the fuse in, open the trap door on the top and insert the 10A fuse that's in there.

hope this helps.

ok i did do the tach wire im pretty sure its the right wire its the blue single wire with a cap right? by the shock tower? thats the one wire i didnt use a multimeter cause i was almost positive that was it. as far as a parking break wire what should i do if it doesnt work? i do have a wire on the brake switch for the brake lights. Do i not need a wire on the neutral safety switch than? is that just the wire to the parking break? Do i need to program something than to work on a manual car?
and thanks for the parking lights right when you said that i realized what you were talking about.
thank you though for the help

only other thing you need to do other than make the connection when it comes to the tach is to go through the tach learn procedure. Turn the car on with the key, and within 10 seconds press and hold the button on the control center when the car reaches an approx idle engine speed. As for the p-brake, the system NEEDS to see the p-brake be removed and applied in order to get into reservation mode (remote start ready mode when installed in a manual trans), so if it doesn't work, the best thing is to fix it. There should be a wire at your parking brake that will show ground when the parking brake is engaged, and lose ground when the parking brake is off. In some cars, this may only test if the ignition is on. Unless the wire is disconnected or there is something wrong with your brake lever, this wire will test like this even if the light on your cluster doesn't come on. The switch is pretty simple and you should be able to see it on the brake lever. You could install a toggle switch to "simulate" the brake being put on and taken off, but you'd be creating one extra step for yourself every time you get out of the car.

hope this helps and feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.
