Default Installing an OEM S2000 (s2k) keyless entry into an Integra or Civic

Long title to hopefully make it easier to search, because I couldn't find anything for this topic.

Ok, first off, I know that there are 100 billion aftermarket systems that are 100 billion times better than OEM. I just like the simplicity of the OEM look and the fact that it is OEM. Call me stupid, or whatever.

Anyway, my old AP1 S2000's OEM keyless worked awesome. It had a looooong range (I could actually open it from my 3rd story office with the S2000 parked underneath a parking structure. I don't know if they are different from Civics and Accords, because they didn't have a very long range.

How difficult would it be to install this in my 95 Integra? Is it a big enough headache to pass on this silly idea? My Integra does have an Ungo system that has long been deactivated, but the brain is still there under the seat. So perhaps wiring won't be a big problem. I don't know, though. Also, if I were to get a keyless from an S2000, I just need the key fobs and the brain, right?

Thanks for any input.

Sounds like an amazing idea, and I don't foresee it being too much wiring work really. Just door lock/unlock, probably an antenna if not built into brain, things like that.

I'm interested to see how this turns out. O.o

Of course, be sure to get a harness for the brain. =]

I just installed an alarm last night, it took me 6 hours. That included shrink wrapping the wires together, then looming them in fireproof mesh all the way up to the dash. Its the best install i have ever done in my life.

Experimenting with putting an s2k keyless into your teg, would be not worth the hasstle, when you can do a stealth install in a shorter amount of time, and get a much longer range. Plus you get to keep your car.

Please get this s2k BS off your mind asap.

Are the power door locks in the Integra stock?
If so, then it should be easy, you will need the key-less entry module and it's harness from the S2000, [in drivers kick panel behind start button].
You will also need a wiring diagram for it. 94

No, she is 100% stock with hub caps and paint fading. Don't think anyone will really steal it (knock on wood). I would like to restore her one day, but not right now. When I do the restoration, I want everything to be OEM, so this will be a nice touch, even though it says Honda and not Acura. I'm also swapping in a Honda S2000 factory radio.

Yes, the door locks are stock. One problem. I bought the keyless control unit (and keyfob), but could not get the harness. I guess I need to start searching junk yards for the harness? Anyone got ideas? Honda won't sell me just that harness, since it is connected to about everything. And I did get a wiring diagram for the S2000, so I guess all I need to do is cut out the Ungo unit and swap this unit in? There is no antenna on it either. I thought there would be.

Thanks for the inputs so far.
