wassup guys 96 civic ex d16y8 i tried to put in a fuel pump kill switch using a 30 amp toggle switch with 14awg wire now my car wont start , i even put the ylw/grn wire together again and it wont start help!!!

Go to the fuse box under the hood and test the fuse for the fuel pump. I believe that it is a 15A fuse.

dam i jus took a look at the twp 15 amp fuses and they seem to be ok to me

It is fuse 13 -15A, [hot in run or start] in under hood fuse box, there are two yellow/green leads at the PGM-FI Main Relay, the fused one is the input to injector relays coil and power for fuel pump relay, the other is the output from the fuel pump relay to the fuel pump, the fuse covers both.

My I suggest that when you do it again, [kill switch] you use a 1A switch, [on/off] and install it on the black ground lead at the PGM-FI Main Relay, it is the ground for the injector relays coil, it is low current, [under 250mA] it is the only black lead going to the PGM-FI Main Relay, and it will effectively shut down the fuel injectors and the fuel pump, and no fuses to deal with, nothing can short out.

You could also use the 1A switch on the green/yellow, ECM/ECU low current ground control lead for fuel pump relay. 94

Fuse 44 - 15A, [hot at all times] in under hood fuse box, is power for injector relay, [white/black] and fuel pump relays coil, [internal] during start..

Fuse 31 - 7.5A, [hot with engine cranking to start] in under dash fuse box, blue/white at PGM-FI Main Relay. 94

Do what he said and either test your current fuses/replace them.

i just tested the ylw/grn wire to the pump and read no power

i replaced he 15a fuse under the hood that i thin is #44 and the 15a under the dash #13 and the 7.5a one under the dash #31 and still nothin

i tested the fuel pump fuse leads and i got 12v through the fuse but i didnt get any power from the two leads of the wire that powers the fuel pump
