Default is this bass package all I need?

Hello I'm a noob when it comes to car audio . I'm looking to add some bass in my integra coupe and does this package come with EVERYTHING I need? http://www.crutchfield.com/App...p=442

I already have a good Sony headunit, and I see this package comes with woofer+amp+wiring, is there anything else I need? and how is this combo? underpowered? just right? thanks in advance guys

For the same price, I'd step up to the 12".

More speaker = More Air Movement

you'll get a little more but you'll pay at least 40 for wiring in any retail store. Its funny to see the markup on accessories for car audio.... look on ebay for an amp kit, all you'll need is 10-gauge for that set up, and you'll be fine.... this package is by rockford and is perfect for that set up assuming you've got an aftermarket deck.

I would step up to at least an 8-gauge amp kit with the MTX setup if you were going to keep it forever.

However, you'll probably grow tired of it and want more in the future, so if you run 4-gauge lines now, you'll have room to grow should you decide to upgrade.

Lmfao, lightning audio no thats not worth it, no it wont sound good, it wont last long,

Youll spend $150 on that, be tired of it, and want other stuff, and no ones gonna buy that crap off of you

spend 200 bucks more, and u can get this http://www.crutchfield.com/App...p=442

Plus all the wiring.. and you will be very happy...

ALSO, i hope you upgraded your speakers already

You do not need to replace the speakers, either the Lightning Audio or the MTX package will work, both are 150W sub systems, IMO the MTX package is the better one, as mentioned, use an 8ga kit at least, a 4ga kit can't hurt and if you do upgrade all you need to do is change the amp and sub. 94

1. personally id go with the mtx over lightning audio

2. 8g wire is sufficent, but i can almost guarentee ur going to want more bass.

3.check craigslist.com, i got 2 12" infinitys (1000 watts ea), sub box, 1600 watt amp and plenty of wiring for only $250 and they were pretty much new.

Go with the mtx setup. It will own the lightning audio. And buy decient power wire. you pay for what you get and just because they sell you 8 gauge wire on ebay does not meant its 8 gauge. Most is 10 gauge or some weired gauge wire with a thick coat on it.

You probably will want more but you dont need anything larger than 10 gauge if your only running 150 watts. Its definately sufficient. If you run 8 gauge you'll be fine but 4 gauge won't fit into those terminals, trust me. If your just lookin to add a little kick to give you whats missing from your speakers now these packages are great. I used to sell the lightening audio package at best buy and it was awesome for the price.

I say get the 4 gauge. You will get tired of those subs and will want to upgrade. You can save time and money because you'll end up throwing/selling those wires and will have to rerun all of your wires again. Not worth it.

ps. In case you didn't know, 4 gauge is bigger than 8, etc.
