Default Addin' more security

My buddy EF hatch and EK hatch got stolen with $$$ viper, clifford alarm and kill switch equipped. They cut the alarm, battery wire and some of car thiefs real got ***** left the whole alarm unit in the driveway after they stole the EF.Those car gone in few mins, they rolled 'em out of the driveway or the parking place and towed it.

And now with all these stolen car thread.Im considering to get one of these lock.
One of the feature about these lock that I like the most,....

- Resists cutting and sawing
- Lock is resistant to drilling and picking and can NOT be frozen by Freon.

What do you think guys? get it?? I mean yea still stealable but hey if you want it- you gotta earn it IN HARD WAY right?

If a thief has access to a tow truck then they probably have access to a wheel dolly... completely making your device useless.

Sure it might stop the regular jerk thief, but it won't stop a pro.
I would think that device would probably gain the interest of a small time thief. They may think "that car must have some nice stuff in it - let's go check it out."
... and then they steal your stereo and then let off the parking break so your tire pops on the device's metal spikes >=(

I used to work for AAA as a tow truck dispatcher. You'de be surprised what an experienced tow truck driver can do. Oh, and here are some "wheel skates" as their known in the towing world.

BEST piece of advice to give someone who doesnt want to get jacked is, stay away from meets that are in your local area. most likely you will be followed home if you got a sweet ride.

a group of dudes in an EF hatch tried to race me a block from my house while back and i just ignored em a turned into my neighborhood. That night at around 2am, my alarm went off and i came outside. nothing happened but this was the first and only time my alarm has gone off in the middle of the night.

That Club POS doesn't even compare to the wheel boot posted by the OP. The club has nothing to stop you from simply removing the lug nuts and it probably suffers the same weaknesses as their other products (easily pried, cut, frozen, or levered off).

The wheel boot is awesome, but expensive. And I worry that parking enforcement might think it's their own and then have my car impounded. I would love to have one but I'd never use it in place of a stealth installed alarm.

Quite simple to bypass a standard alarm install. A regular under-dash alarm install is pretty much a waste of money on a Honda/Acura. A thief can get through them w/out ever setting off the siren and then use the start kill relay to help them hotwire the car.

no stealth install on the alarm will have it laying in your driveway or parking spot. look into stealth installs for alarms and anything you can do on top of that is a plus. the best security is layers and preventative measures.
