99' Accord LX Keyless Entry Info needed
I knew from the get go the car had keyless just didnt care to look into it, it didnt come with a key-fob and turning a key isnt difficult. But yesterday i had to troubleshoot a "no-start issue" and came across the "Keyless Systems Brain" underneath my dashboard. I fixed my problem rather quickly and seeing this box got me thinking id look into it.
The issue is that I cannot find a definite answer on what key-fob goes with my brain.
The FCC-ID Printed on my Brain is:A269ZUA104
Now with that said after alot of searching I cannot find a Exact Matching FCC-ID Key-fob for the brain. If im not mistaken by what ive read the FCC-ID has to match on both the "Brain" and key-fob to function correctly.
The closest matching FCC-ID's on a key-fob i can find for-sale is: A269ZUA101 or A269ZUA106.
There is another key-fob FCC-ID im finding regularly as well: KOBUTAH2T
There is a visual difference in these key-fobs...the KOBUTAH2T key-fob has a trunk release button where the A269ZUA106-101 does not (or says option).
Id like the trunk popping option but that is where i need facts not opinions. Which Key-fob was the car sold with?
Now logically youd think i should be looking into the A269ZUA106-101 key-fob but I am wanting to get the facts straight so i dont slip up and spend $30-60 bux for the wrong key-fob.
Also there is a "Black Button" facing into the footwell attached to the plastic panel that the "brain is attached too. Is this like the "Valet" button or what?
Heres a pic of the "Brain"

Re: 99' Accord LX Keyless Entry Info needed
Found it.
The 98-02 Accord DX/LX Keyless entry system was a "Dealer Installed Item". It does not have the "Trunk Popping" function as the EX's do. i found a Honda Technical Service Bulletin referencing all Honda Key-Fobs and what vehicle they correspond to.
98-02 Accord DX/LX "No Trunk button" Key-Fob P/N: 08E61-S01-100 The Key-Fob FCC-ID is A269ZUA101.
Heres a link to the Technical Service Bulletin on Keyless Remote Transmitter Information

Very very helpful link there. Answered all my questions.
