Default 95 lude 6 1/2 " fronts 5 /14 rear all jl xr, sound is uneven

Here I go. with my factory radio everything sounded good as far as evenness with sound. Basically the imaging was good. I was surrounded by sound. Iwas excited to install the front 6.5" jl xr components and my rear 5 1/4 " xr coaxials. I was running a PG ZX450 but now i am powering them all with a jl300/4.

My problem is mostly annoyance . Everything is uneven it sound like the rear is louder than the front. but its not just that its more like the back sounds really good and the front sounds shitty. The rear the highs and lows sound good but in the front it is dull. I have tried almost everything for swapping the inputs and outputs of the front and rear i also tried setting the gains higher in the front . that doesnt really doit but it does sound a little better. for the most part its the characteristics of the sound not the actual level.

in a nutshell the front sounds dull the rear sounds bright. Is it just the honda speaker placement messing me up ? does anyone else have a problem like this ? I think it is either has something to do with my xr passive crossover or my cars acoustics. has anyone installed components and had nice even sound all around ? Ithis is driving me absolutely crazy Please anyone help me ! I love my lude but the radio is killingme. I have another $2000.00 of subs and amps and other stuff but just cant install that too if i am unhappy with what i have now. so please anyone help me out Thanks in advance

It sounds like the fronts are miswired [out of phase] check all wiring going to xovers and to mids and tweets, check the xovers .

hope this helps. 94

do you think i could just swap my + and - on my amp ? or are you saying possibnly on the crossovers. BTW the passive crossovers are in the doors. if anyone knows a better place let me know i would rather them be inside where i could see them or at least adjust them . thanks

It may be at the amp , or after the xover , or it could be one of the xovers themselfs.
once xovers are set [ gain for tweaters] you will not need to adjust then ,so you can leave them in the doors , the can not get wet.
hope this helps. 94

Here I am the 4th gen lude car audio master, i've taken apart my lude and put the **** back together a countless number of times, your components require a lot more power than your coax's, so adjust the front channel to be more powerful than the rear and that SHOULD even it out, why do you only have 5 1/4's in the rear? the factory pods accept 6 1/2's but the JL magnets cause for clearance issues, my VR's did, but anyway, i'd try turn the gain up on the front channel

My entire Setup is VR Components in the front and VR Coax's in the back with an e4300 on them, i adjusted the amp so that the fronts got more power because components require more power, but my car sounds beautiful and yours should too with XRs all around, try playing with the amp a little more, PM me if you need anymore help

I also put my crossovers inside the car so they couldn't get wet, i have the drivers side one up underneath the knee bezzle and my passenger side crossover in the kick panel along with my Sirius
