Why fake the funk?
I don't mind replica wheels at all I have owned a few sets. But I would never try to pass them off as the real deal or even put the decals or center caps of legit wheels on them. It just sends the wrong signals. But it is your car do as you please

Re: Y56 Jordan yellow EK civic build.
Point taken. I'll go the center cap route anyway as i think it tidys it up.. don't know how long i'll have the wheels anyway.. I'd love a set of CCW classics shipped over here.

Re: Y56 Jordan yellow EK civic build.
I personally don't see the big deal with the decals on the wheels.
Who the **** cares?
Anyway, I love the way the car is looking, I wanted to paint my sedan yellow too (but the $50 paintjob kind of yellow)

I worked my *** off to get my Starks, until then I rocked Rotas and it never crossed my mind to put stickers or real center caps on my slips, or circuit 10's. Mostly due to the fact its a great feeling owning the real deal stuff. Im just not a fan of "faking the funk". Ive argued with local kids who did this same thing; putting CPR stickers on Track R's. It just takes away from the quality of the perspns build, especially if they're willing to pay for real deal rarities, such as the Jordan interior, (etc).
But I guess if you see no issue with it you outta just buy fake nikes, oakleys, etc,.

Yeah thats understandable, if you can afford to shell out the real thing then all's well and good. If I hadnt to pay out for a full b18c integra swap and all new suspension components amongs other things higher up the list i'd have a real set but for now i'll make do with what i can shell out. If that means putting on a decent set of center caps on a set of copys then so be it. No ones getting hurt by it. Anyway, plenty of threads id imagine on here debating the grid racing vs te37 so we'll leave it at that.

OP, not to thread jack here, but all of this talk about legit wheels makes me sick.
Just a bunch of 20-somethings trying to prove how "baller" they are. The fact that OP is putting stickers on his wheels is a mark of him being caught up in the same cycle.
Whether you can afford the "legit" wheels, or whether you are faking the funk to make it look like you "afforded" the legit wheels: it's all equally sick.
Most "legit" dudes are either paying for the wheels with credit card debt (or $$ acquired from selling things that they bought with a credit card), or in the rare event, they could actually "afford" them than it is (at best) a frivilous way of using their resources.
Either way, the much more mature and "baller" thing to do would be:
1. Place the $3K in a mutual fund earning 12% interest, and have money to retire on when you are 65.
2. Save your money and wait until your financial situation allows you to move forward where you could put $3K wheels on a $60K car. Proportionately, that just seems much more appropriate.
$3K wheels on a $2K Civic...
Meh. Kids. Stop flaming OP and flame yourself. Grow up, and stop putting rice on rice. There is a reason why adults don't do this stuff. Think about it...

Your advice is awful and clearly doesn't fit the needs of the OP. If you don't like this kind of stuff, log off and never come back. We don't need your kind of people here.
If we wanted stupid opinions about how to spend our money on our cars, we'd ask our parents.

Re: Y56 Jordan yellow EK civic build.
Yup I think so. Should look real tidy with them up back.. EK fitment ones ordered anyway, should be here monday. Wondering what colour tie bar to go for now? was thinking of adding a bit of purple contrast? along with a polished ASR subframe brace, purple BEAKS tie bar, purple blox lug nuts and was looking on Skunk2's website at there washer/bolt kits.. crazy money @ 70+$ for some colored washers and bolts but look the business. same with there head bolt and fender washer/bolt kit.. something for the future maybe...

Re: Y56 Jordan yellow EK civic build.
Well, those other new lca's got sold as they were wrong fitment, and these arrived today. EK fitment skunk2 LCA's in gold again. Should have realised that the EG version only have the 3 holes in them while EK are longer and have 5 holes along the arm. Weathers crap and won't be fitting em today.. no shed or garage
Was told a B18c engine, box and everything for conversion is there ready and waiting.. should be a couple week now before car goes in to get done :D
Still yet to do balljoint and a couple wishbone bushes.. played around with lowering it aswel.. ** "low" and behold:

Re: Y56 Jordan yellow EK civic build.
So, been a small bit busy today, decided to go have a look at the wheel speed sensor as the abs light was on and did diagnostics and got error code 13 (front left wheel speed sensor open circuit).. Could have been a number of things but put a multimeter on it and hay presto, nothing reading from it.. so pulled that out and waiting for a new one..
Just to see, checked drivers side which read 0.86.. Also tested the plugs where the sensors plug in with car on and got 15.60 from FR plug and 15.90 from FL plug. *
Anyway, after that went at the Skunk2 lower control arms yesterday.. sprayed WD40 on all the bolts and left em for a couple hours soak in.. Went back and started on one side
OLD vs NEW? no contest..
Whaaat bushings? comparison..
New arms bolted on
Just as I was finished started to **** down.. so packed up the gear untill today and went at the other side in the cold ***

Re: Y56 Jordan yellow EK civic build.
Finished installing the arms, so started to torque everything up to spec.. 490 ft lbs.
Pee shooter popping out to say hello.. Hopefuly this won't be staying on long.. Have Skunk2 goodness in mind *:winks:*
Finally done and torqued and just as I was going to lower the car back down a buddy comes along with a purple beaks tie bar for me.. Happy days.. Back off with the subframe bolts and in with the tie bar brackets.
All done and car dropped down at the back. pics not great.
Couple last pics of final installation

Re: Y56 Jordan yellow EK civic build.
Any reason why a no to the skunk2 exhaust system and mani? Will be put on a b18c.
So, Went shopping the other day to fill the fridge n freezer.. ended up taking a detour and came home with this.. **
Nice to see a Civic not hard wired :D
Had no CD player in it, and I had some new pioneer front mids, and new pioneer 6x9s.. so wired it all in and now I have some good sounds.. I'd a old pioneer sub aswel with a velocity amp I through in there aswel.. Does like the sounds **F*ck your bmws and your Bose stuff.
Took a few snaps while I got some bit of sunlight.. Really needs a type r rear spoiler, bit of a spacer on the back and rear discs.. Going painting the calipers a cadbury purple to match the blox nuts I've to get at some stage.. *Think a purple front/rear took hook would go well with the yellow/purple theme i've in mind.
Getting new balljoints, wishbone bushes, boot strut, wheel speed sensor and a horn tomorrow so i'll snap a few pics doing that.

their exhaust is ugly as ****. I'd get a apexi ws2 or something similar.
you can buy a way better manifold too if you look around.
