Thanks!! Feels good to get compliment on the whip.

I won't be going lower for a while. On springs right now and I've been thinking I'll skip past coilover all together and go with a bagged set up.

Looks good, ever thought about color matching the front chrome/polished Acura grill piece the same color of the rims? I think it would tone down the front and tie in with the side profile really well.

Go with bags imo. Goes more along with what you are going for. Not to mention you can raise the car at a press of a button to save your investments lol

I have thought about this. If anything I would just try to match the color of the car on the "beak" and leave that trim chrome to match the lips and window trim. This would just require a decent paint job and not knowing exactly how it will look makes me stand off ish. I may pick up a new grill and paint that one so I could swap back and forth if I wanted to.

Agreed. More of an investment but it's what I need. Another ILX on the East coast bagged his ILX on some custom Renen 3pieces. So sick. Really motivating me to go that route.

Some recent of mine..

Next few things I am looking at is some small vinyl wrapping in the cabin, correcting the rear camber, catless 2.5" header, larger rear sway, and replacing my air resonator with some intake ducting to hook up right behind the mesh next to the fog light.

Cleaning my oiled intake filter tonight so it can soak up by tomorrow.

Thanks all for the kind words.

I think next I'll be looking at touching up the interior. Some vinyl trim and some custom door sills from yospeed, the guy that did my battery tie down. Similar design probably.

yeah man i get it. trying to mod a NEW CAR is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT!

U have done a WONDERFUL JOB!

i liked the STi lip and the S2000 lip. but the S2000 more since it angles perfectly to the front air dams that come stock. beautiful!

i think u should go with the chrome wheels to complete the VIP look. JP all day!

Thanks!!
If I know who you are talking about then no worries I already know how they work.
I was last on here before bringing this build over 2 years ago with the integra. Ive had many run ins with him and it always ends the same.
If we are talking about the same user than he constantly gets what he has coming to him... he's had what like 2 stolen cars, a stolen mugen spoiler, and recently a totaled car. That's karma right there man! I feel bad hearing that **** but **** you reap what you sow.

Thanks for the kind words!! Looking at doing a cat delete and some interior vinyle, probably carbon fiber, to spruce up the interior a little.

Thank you! It can be tough with not a lot of options out there. The options I have made available have been making civic parts fit my Acura. It works. As well, as you saw, the sti lip.

I never got around to picking up an s2k lip, but I got a new STI lip that i put on different the second time. Sits about an inch further forward which is probably why you noticed it angle up a bit.

I am going to be rebuilding these works with some step lips to go 19x9 +13ish. When I do I may go for a new look with the wheels. Ive been really wanting to go 24k finish on the faces with polished lips/caps/hardware. I know its played out but we'll see.

Most VS-MX I see are polished or chrome so not sure I want to go that route. Looks killer though so its a possibility. Some 24k work bolts and stem, redo the hex cap 24k and chrome dip the centers would look equally as baller but not as flashy.

Every weekend. Always double bucket in the shade.

I see you two are two ******* cowards who can't even say someone's name. Pathetic. Kind of pathetic like modding a leased car.

Enjoy thinking karma has gotten the best of me.

FYI, I got the Mugen spoiler back from the thief who stole it. I got $6,000 for a 99 civic and kept the car. I made money. But keep thinking you're doing well.

I just dont care to have your name in my mouth. Take it as you will.

I did not know about the civic outcome, glad you feel the incident was worth it. I did know about the spoiler outcome. The guy was willing to return it to ya and help out and you pretty much acted like he stole it and threatened to press charges against him. Class act my friend. Class act.

Check out my sessy lease to own.

Went though home depot for some new shower appliances.

Thinking about going back to the clear fogs and upgrade to some nice HID projectors.

Skeet skeet skeet... fields.

I enjoy this thread. Interesting things you've done with the car, keep doing what you do Jon. Your car, leased/owned whatever. You'll do what pleases you, hopefully without letting what others say good or bad affect ya.

I've never really been active here except to scour for info, I mainly participated in TeamIntegra.net. I've started to spend less time on the integra/honda forum and have noticed that on the Mercedes forum that its not uncommon for folks to gently modify leased cars then sell or move the parts prior to lease turn in.
So who cares if its leased, owned, paid in cash, a 10 year loan, handed down by grandma , etc.
Criticism can be constructive, but more times than not its just personal opinion. Whatever happened to respecting the "work" that goes into building/modding a car, truck, scooter, etc. Versus talking trash about that "work" because it doesn't jive with your style?

Brice, you've got some nice cars. Followed a few of your threads. Can tell you're a man of quality.

Thank you! It is a work in progress and I really like where it is going.
I like to take advice and feedback from people whenever possible. Attitude on the other hand will be swept under the rug.

I can see why people here and TI would prefer to buy a car like a EG civic or Integra and start modding a car that is already paid for. Makes complete sense.

Modding leases is pretty popular, especially in the BMW forums as well.
I would not be modding this car if I had plans on returning it. Where as many of the BMW guys Ive spoken to, as well as Mercedes, my buddy works for Merc but drives an E46 BMW. They mod leases that they PLAN ON GIVING BACK.

Even though I plan on keeping it, I am holding back on any mods I feel will really alter the vehicle... like bags and f/i. There is a supercharger and turbo kit already developed for the R series Civic. They'll both fit my R series and should put out better gains as my R20 has a larger stroke than their R18.

As well, airforce suspension has bagged one ILX in jersey so far so they now have a pretty nice straight forward system but I am going to wait on plans like that until the car is probably fully paid off.

To devils advocate and stick up for Brice a tad, I know I know he doesnt need that from me, but Im going to say Brice gives his opinion on my build because he doesnt like me. He may not like my build as well, but it's more personal. We've talked trash since I owned my Integra. I can sweep his bs under the rug because he does know what hes doing when modding. He just likes to hear himself talk.... or click click click on the keyboard.

"broadening of horizons"

there is a whole industry devoted to modding new/leased cars. Scion anyone? now Lexus has F-Sport accessories that wont void ur warranty (hurray!). simple supply and demand even tho the acura community doesn't have the same demand

p.s. the whole purpose of Scion is so that the $2000 grill/suspension/wheel & tire mod becomes a $200 car payment. very practical

As well, when it comes to my lease warranty, I have spoken with a few acura reps from more than one dealership. They dont care much about mods until it comes to trade in time... IF there is a trade in time. And then, if the mod didnt cause any damage, they don't care.
Only time a mod will void a warranty is if the mechanic/dealer can prove the mod caused damage the warranty wont cover.
If install a catback exhaust, front lip that required drilling into the bumper as well as a spoiler, and the rear shock goes out are started making the thud sound some of the RDXs have made then I can still get it fixed under warranty. Nothing voided.

Now... if I install a supercharger and blow a gasket or develop a knock, my fault, warranty voided.

Until the car is paid off I only plan on replacing the exhaust, coilovers, some vinyl, maybe zdx tb +tbs, rear sway, audio... small easily reversible stuff.
...vip stuff for the interior, aluminum sills, etc etc...
Currently looking into a multi projector LED set up to retrofit in the existing fog housing and ditch the yellow covers for a VIP look similar to the Q multi projectors.
