Trying to bring back a coupe that prob should have been scrapped..
Hey everyone... Some of you might have seen my white ej2 that I've been putting together. Well yesterday I was at a friends shop and saw this pile
Horrible right?
I mean its a few different colors, someone filled the body line with bondo, it was missing a ton of parts, three different wheels on it..
Well for some stupid reason I asked what they were doing with it and he told me it was used as a parts car and they were going to scrap it. It has a good title soo I asked what they wanted for it.. and went ahead and bought t on the CHEAP..

The biggest problem with the car IMO was the slathered on bondo filling in the body line so before I did anything else I had to get that off to take sure they werent hiding a bashed quarter or something.. Im a cheap *** so I went the free way.. chisel and hammer and about a zillion light taps followed by some sanding to get whatever was left. Then I threw some primer just so it wouldnt be bare metal..

So I decided to get this one put together.. lol. Going to paint it and try to get it as mint as possible then Ill go from there..
It's now in garage and I peeled off the plastidip from the hood and did a little sanding and priming to cover bare places. Going to weld up the hood pin holes and any unused holes in the bay. As of right now she sits like this

I say try to do the bodywork and paint yourself. Great car to learn on.
If it comes out great, you could make some money off of it. Just make it stock and sell it.
If it comes out shitty, who cares. At least you learned and gained experience.

Try using fiberglass resin with a little bit of hardener to plug the holes if you use a welder you have a better chance at burning through or making high spots on the hood. It takes more time with sanding down after it's cured but it will not cause the hood to warp. Then just spot primer the spots after taping off the area then feather edge it.
