Re: ToreyCarter's 00 AP1
So I haven't updated this thread in a long long time and figured I would flood this build thread again with pictures, posts and boring stuff that hardly anyone cares about!!!
I left off at IA summer last year with the car getting the new fenders and ASM short antenna. Since then the car has gotten many parts to just enhance the overall feel and look of the car.
So I had talked about a spoiler for the longest time and kept debating on Air Walker or Backyard Special. I felt that the Air Walker would've clashed with the Amuse front end and the OEM hardtop, so I decided to go with the BYS as it flowed really well off the back end.
So I had the spoiler painted and installed and went out for a shoot!!
Shortly after this shoot it was time to head to Nashville for the annual ImportAlliance Fall meet which I enjoy going to every single year. Before leaving I ordered a few parts to get the car a little spruced up on the inside.
Rare OEM s2000 cruise control block off plate (thanks Joeham)
Which meant if I was getting rid of cruise control I was getting rid of the OEM wheel which lead me to purchasing my Works Bell hub and quick tilt to mate my Momo Tuner 320mm wheel too!! Which then lead to me calling up Matt at ICB and picking up the OEM JDM NSX horn button which I feel tied my interior all together.
Drove down to Nashville where I met up with some friends and had one hell of a weekend!!!
After I got back from Nashville it was time to put the car in storage and start getting some parts to kinda switch up the look since the car has looked the same for nearly 2 years at this point. Resulted in more orders to Matt at ICB and made me happy while I couldn't drive the car. Also some random parts finds and eBay finds which I couldn't say no to.
Shout out to Matt at ICB haha
And the biggest decision came up to me in regards to the wheels. I wanted to change up the look and wheels helps change the look instantly and gives it a different flavor. So I decided to change up the wheels and found an awesome deal on a set of Advan RG1's in a squared setup that I felt matched with what I wanted the car to look like and flow well. Before you ask, no I didn't get rid of the Regas, and no I'm not willing to sell them.
So I had the opportunity to take a job in Texas and decided being single, no kids, or a house I felt like this was the best time to take the plunge. So before I moved a local photographer wanted to get a shoot of my car since he had been wanting to get one done for a long time. Of course I said yes, who doesnt love pictures of their cars!!!
And on my last day before leaving for Texas I went out to a local DIY Garage open house and had a chance to get the Advans on and luckily the same photographer got a picture of the car looking beautiful with its new shoes!!
Thats all for now, ImportAlliance is next week and I have the new front lip painted and ready to drive my car again!! Hopefully I should have some updates from when I get back after the summer meet!!!

He probably is suggesting that you switch to the VIP-style LED lights that I see a lot on the forums now, the ones that look like the BRZ tails.
Those are great for cruising to Sonic-builds, but I don't think that is what this build is all about. OEM tails are perfect, IMHO, for this build.
Sick parts, and congrats on the new job.

Mico is a homie of mine, always made me feel welcome when I was in Chicago at shows!!
Thanks man
Yeah, if I'm spending that kind of money its not going to be on tail lights haha

W.O.W. that bys spoiler and front lip on the s2k are a match made in heaven. Absolutely beautiful, flows so well, especially the rear spoiler. Loving the exhaust too bro. Perfectly built s2k, exactly how I would have done it
