Icon6 SiMatt's EM1 resurrection

So I was a beginning college student and I needed a good mpg car with good styling. So my friend Jesse, who knew much more about cars, suggested the Civic Si. He said they are the best Civs out there and I figured, "I worked so hard and saved so much, I may as well get the best since I'll keep it forever." So we found one I liked the styling of and drove down 3 hours to get it.

Though it did have sidemarker holes cut out I didn't care because it was my first REAL car with a sunroof and a/c and p/s and an awesome armrest! I was sold the moment I sat in it. I loved this car so much and thought it was perfect and was working to keep it perfect. I loved it so much.

Only two months of happines, and four days away from my 19th bday, my car was stolen from the college parking lot. I wanted to die.
Someone saw suspicious activity and called the police and they found my car stripped in a random field.

Everyone told me to just part it out and that it wasn't worth it. It sat in the garage on jacks for months and everyday I would sit in it and wish I knew how to fix it. So I learned.

I don't have every picture from all moments, but I am now trying to archive everything done to my car. I started small. I had to replace the bumper, fog lights, stereo, subs, amp, speakers, tow hooks, spoiler, wheels, intake, as well as my school supplies in order to get in back to how I got it. I had a lot of work to do and no money nor time with school. Luckily my dad is a certified GM mechanic and taught me the need how to get by.

So while in school I started trying to support local farmers and stores by buying local. So I figured why not let it inspire my car also? So now I am aiming to get most of my parts for my car to be American made. Mainly just the performance parts, not so much cosmetic, but that comes last anyway.
So as of now this is what I can remember doing to her:

Golden Eagle Cam Seal

OEM Bumper
JDM Fogs w/ OEM switch

12" MTX 400w rms sub
Autotek 550w rms amp

Sony Xplod speaks including tweets w/ OEM baskets
Sony Xplod crossovers

Spyder Carb legal CAI
Mugen Oil cap

Magnaflow 2.25" cat back

Always use Royal Purp w/ NGK and K&N Oil filter
Bosch wires

16" Konig Retrack

VMS Racing Lugs

Brembo Cross drilled and slotted rotors
Falken Ziex tires
AMR Engineering Coilovers
VIS Carbon Fiber hood

(hood popped for some reason)

First little run with a 240 with my new catback.

Sorry bout some of these pics sucking.

Random drive by pic at bank 7am

Oh:

Stage 2 F1 Racing clutch (surprisingly great)
Mugen radiator cap
New OEM radiator
Radiator hoses
Side Skirts
Generic adjusable sway bay
Blox lower control arms

So I am trying to make this thing OEM as Dick, with ***** (friend made it up), but Idk where the line crosses. I fixed the cruise control, the horn, and the air bag (detachable steering wheel before) and also fixed the a/c with a new compressor and drier.

I mainly just want to make this thing a fun DD. But strictly all motor.
I plan to track it soon but I am trying to save up for an ASR rear swaybar and brace first and maybe DC headers after...or before?

Oh I definitely have an alarm. Haha. It's a Viper alarm with two kill switches that work even without the battery. I got locked out a couple times messing with my fogs and cruise control before haha. And I made a point to have the security gaurds watch my car while I'm at school. Now everytime I walk to my car for a book or something it's normal for a security guard to be near my car.

I know about the Oil cap. I didn't want to pay so much for the real one and didn't like the color on my car.

as already stated put the oem hood back on. i had a VIS CF hood on my crx, glad i kept my original hood. once it starts to oxidize you will swap them back out.

other than that looks good. why not use NGK wires instead of the BOSCH wires?

My girlfriend got me the hood. I had no idea she was going to. I wanted an OEM cf hood, but eh. It's growing on me now. So whatevs. Ya, the AMR are great. really stiffen up well. I plan to track this thing some more early next year. And with a lifetime warranty I don't have to worry about them going out.
