It actually would be a like a wedge like he said. If it was tapered then you would have the angle. Which would lead you back to sq. one. I think this would also benefit h2b cars with qsd kits.

Loving the build!
It would be nice if you could machine the wedges into the pads that the bolts sit against. Then you wouldnt have to deal with aligning washers.

Yes, very good point, they were gunna try and make the bolt surface flat at the same angle so no sepecial washers needed to be used, but they said that the machine could not get in there to do it that way. It still should work cool, im not too worried about that at all
