Re: 4th gen prelude timeline and light build...
Do u have facebook? if so check out Garage Works Powdercoating. The guy who owns it is really cool. And is looking for people to sponsor. Who are doing really unique things. Plus his work is really good.

Re: 4th gen prelude timeline and light build...
well i removed all of the brake and clutch lines from the bay tonight along with the oem proportioning valve (?) and a few other small brackets. i will probably start taking the center console and dash out of the car tomorrow or friday so i can get set up to start with the brake like tuck. i want to have everything ordered, cut, and measured so everything is completely ready before it goes in for paint. still a ways to go.

Re: 4th gen prelude timeline and light build...
i am only keeping the hold for the far hood bumpers, clutch and brake master cylinder holes (obviously), holes for the suspension components, holes in the firewall for the a/c and heater, and that should be it. new holes will be drilled for the brake lines. the radiator will be mounted elsewhere. and a new hole will be made for the milspec harness.
i am posting all the stages of the bay and motor build/swap

Re: 4th gen prelude timeline and light build...
so more work done today by myself and friend greg. (big thanks to you homie).
the core support is all welded up. i wasnt thinking and had him weld 2 fender mount holes so we had to drill is back out and tap it but no harm done just a waste of time.
it came out great. barely any filler at all will be needed.
top of the most of the passenger side shock tower was welded and grinded. first coat of filler should go on this week. the most filler needed will be able a 16th of an inch.
i mocked up some cover plates..
greg welded them..
i grinded them...
the new hasport mount was bolted and then welded into place along with the other plate i made.
a better look at the bead.. there was some paint and seam sealer left in some spots that would pop but he did a beautiful job.
we probably have one more day of welding.
thanks for looking.

Re: 4th gen prelude timeline and light build...
Nice work Zac. I'd try and get rid of as much old paint around the areas you're using filler. It doesnt like to stick to stuff that isnt bare metal.
