Putting Northern Virginia on the map!!! (91 CRX Si Content Inside)
Big Update!!! 3/14/2001.
UPDATES!!!!! 3/3/2011
Started Painting The Bay, Fenders, And Bumper. Heres A Shot of The Car color and The Bay Color Sprayed out.
UPDATES!!!!! 2/21/20011
Paint Has Begun!!! Sprayed the hood to see how The paint was gonna turn out. Fenders And Bumpers Will Be Painted This weekend i hope.
A Little 411 on The Car -
I bought this car back in may of 2010. It was one of my buddys and a local honda guy. I got it as just a shell, but it came with some good upgrades. I had a b16 swap i dropped in from my hatch and then sold the hatch. The car sat in my drive way for a month and a half before i even drove it on a regular basis. It had a few problems here and there but i fixed everything and got it running decent. and thats where this build thread starts.
What it looked like when i first got it together.
What the swap looked like.
Photoshoot On top of the Charlestown Race Track.
I started getting bored of the B16 and wanted something more. I had a b20 in my first hatch and i loved everything about it so i decided why the hell not?
I wanted to go with a little more power this time, so i took the car to my buddy i bought it off of and he notched the pistons for some Type R cams.
Went ahead and dropped the B16 head onto the b20 block and a new competition stage 4 clutch and 6.5 lb flywheel and called it a day. After a month or two my tranny decided to start hating me and lost 4th gear. then the other gears started takin a **** as well and since winter was about to hit and i didnt wanna drive the car in the snow anyway i said **** it and decided to start my tear down.

AND SO IT BEGINS!!!
The last ride in her before i tore her apart.
And a better pic to see what she looked like before.
Parked her in the garage and started ripping her apart. Heres what the engine bay looked like when we pulled the motor.
My buddy matt helpin me rip her heart out.
Got the motor out in no time. A she got put in the corner so she could sleep for the winter.
I didnt work on it for about a week or so. And i started gathering parts here and there, before i knew i had dropped $2,000 in less thn a week on her. I decided that i wanted to something no one else around here had done and started a wire tuck/ brake line tuck. Bought everything new for the engine bay including new black hasport mounts a new cx radiator and some other odds and ends.
I finally got to workin on the bay and cleaning it upp a little bit.
Pulled my harness through into the cabin and starting scuffing out the bay and cleaning it.
I Wanted To Do Something Deifferent With my paint. My last 4 Ed's were all primer, and i never really cared to do any paint on them, just wanted a fast motor. So i decided to go all out on this car and go off the wall with it. I picked out Phantom Gray Metallic For The Body, and for the engine bay i went with majestic purple.
thats all for now. more updates later

thanks for the input guys. im pretty excited for the paint myself. the sun really sets these two colors off very nicely. hoping to be in the paint booth within the next few weeks. still got some body work to do.
my plans are wire tuck brake line tuck. cleaning the engine bay up a good bit. new seals and a tune up for the motor. dropping a new trans with a ratchett lsd on it too. cleaning the interior fully and replacing most of the panels.

yup single stage on both.
and idk if you calling it the craziest car is a good thing or bad thing. but my response is this.
im sure there are gonna be a million haters on my car and thats ok. but its not their car anyway so i could give two ***** less. i made my car the way i wanted to and i will continue to build my car the i want to. ive always gone by the same quote my whole life. wether you like clean oem or ricey body kits..... "TO EACH IS HIS OWN" as long as you like your car thats all that matters. i love my car and thats all the matters. not starting **** but just putting that out there for future **** talkers

Nice. I'm shaving down a GSR tb I got with a y8 head and intake mani all together for 65. Getting rid of the vacuum snout on top, coolant routing on the bottom, all cast marks and useless stuff. Knife edged the plate, countersunk the screws. Should look/work pretty classy after all is done.

Looking forward to this build! Your car looks awfully familiar. You wouldn't happen to deliver for Brick House Pizza, would you?
